My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am a writer living in Seattle. My favorite word is "crisp."

I like to go out, but I can also throw a mean board game night or movie night. (I have a thing for the classics, mostly 1940s-60s). I love useless trivia and am occasionally awesome at it.

I love the sunshine and when it's here I'm in it as often as possible. I hike and run to clear my mind. Indoors, I do bikram yoga (moreso in the winter) and dance ballet. I love dance performances and live theater, especially Shakespeare.

I am a forward, direct person and I appreciate people who are the same. I like to flirt, but I'm not looking to be chased or to chase anyone. If you're into playing games then you can move on.

I talk pretty openly about everything including sex, bodily functions and other non-highbrow topics. If you have a problem with women who do this, then you'll have a problem with me. I curse fairly frequently, but only in appropriate situations.

Finally, I am a happy person. Sure, I have my days and we all get a free pass to bitch occasionally, but in general I'm positive and I try to make the most of even bad situations. I don't need any undue negativity in my life, so don't be a downer.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Writing. A lot. Learning. Trying to do good in the world. I work a pretty boring, but awesome job for the requisite 40 hours and the rest of the time I'm just trying to enjoy and be healthy.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Spelling, useless trivia, remembering people's names, reading people, witty banter and sometimes dancing.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My skin, my eyes and my smile. My enormous brain.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Favorite books is kind of an impossible question for a book nerd, but a few that come to mind are: Franny and Zooey, Nine Stories, The Days of Abandonment, White Noise, The Phantom Tollbooth, Under the Volcano, Madame Bovary, Lolita, Harry Potter (some more than others, but as a whole, they're good), Memoirs of a Geisha, Trainspotting, Mrs. Dalloway, The Picture of Dorian Gray, Animal Farm, Lord of the Flies, Heart of Darkness (I know you hated it in school, but try reading it again), Short Cuts, The Sneetches and Other Stories, The Hobbit. Every now and then I like a good Agatha Christie story.
Nonfiction: Devil in the White City, Marie Antoinette by Antonia Fraser

Currently Reading - The Conductor by Jean Ferry

I am also a film nerd so here goes: The Red Shoes, Playtime, Volver, Goodbye Lenin, Almost Famous, Rear Window, Some Like it Hot, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, All About Eve, Black Swan, Requiem for a Dream, Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit, Boogie Nights, Le Samourai, Breathless, The Blue Angel, Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?, North by Northwest, Wet Hot American Summer, Anything by Almodovar or Hanneke.
Last saw: In theaters - Bettie Page Reveals All
At home - That Walter Mitty one

Music is usually variable depending on my mood. Motown, classic rock, '90s anything. Lately, it's been a lot of indie/folksy stuff. Getting into some indie classical.

I love food and eating. I really miss good Mexican food. When I'm good I'm mostly vegan (but not actually for the meat part). When I'm bad I have a sweet tooth.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Books, sunshine, laughter, intellectual stimulation, physical stimulation, my toothbrush.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Just daydreaming. Fantasizing. Imagining.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Kind of depends on what I did on Thursday night. Either hanging out at home with my roomie or out drinking and blowing off steam with friends. More often it's the latter. Or on a date, that could be up to you.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I used to speak conversational Klingon.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You can hold a decent conversation and you like to have a good time. If you would like to meet up and chat about smart things and stupid things. If you are not easily intimidated.

If you are in Seattle or often in Seattle. I like to meet in person at some point and I'm not commuting anywhere, sorry.

If you are a "technically the glass is always full" sort of person.

You have something more to say than "hi" and you have your face on your profile.

If you're okay with me not getting back to you right away. I get to this when I can and it's not always very regularly.
