My Self-Summary
Hi! Im Marcia (mar-sha)..
I am new to Portland and I am absolutely loving it so far. We
(meaning me and all 7 people I moved here with lol) pulled in on or
around August 10th and I have been practically floating on a cloud
since then. It is everything my hometown wasn't, and SO much more
chill. I am always really excited about meeting new people so..here
is me..
I guess interesting is the best word to describe me. Curious,
intense, altruistic, low-maintenance, patient, outgoing,
open-minded, cuddly, spontaneous, classy, sarcastic, artistic,
gullible. I am extremely laid back, but tend to get kind of loud
when I get excited. I am kind of old for my age, and always have
been. I am pretty much down to do anythiiing exciting, but I also
really reallly enjoy a low key night at home. I am obviously not
the skinny type, but im not stressin' it in the slightest =]. I
sing, not particularly for other people anymore..just because it
makes me really really happy. Sometimes I suffer from an inability
to "think before I speak"..it happens, i know. I am kind of an art
school drop out, only because I changed my major to something more
environmental..now I just get into art for my heart and soul and
not for grades. I have many
piercings and a few
tattoos, and im always excited
about what I can get done next. I have a deep desire to experience
the entire world, and help lots of people along the way. I have
been told I am one of the nicest people you will ever meet, but I
just think caring for other people is something to keep the world
turning. I am kind of scatter-brained sometimes and I can also be
clumsy, but its all good..its entertaining lol. I am not really
religious, anymore. I just follow a 'put out what you want to get
back' philosophy. I also have an appreciation for nature, other
people, and myself that could possibly be considered
spiritual. The beach is
my favorite place to exist. I love meeting new people and finding
out about their lives, especially people that are down for a little
bit of intelligent conversation.
"Make mistakes. Be stupid, awkward, ridiculous. Write the worst
poem imaginable. Paint a horrible picture. Sing out of tune.
Embarrass yourself. Often our attempts to be good or skillful
camouflage a deeper part of ourselves. When we let ourselves make
mistakes, we discover the wisdom inherent in our stupidity, the
grace embedded in awkwardness, the truth couched in the ridiculous.
When you fail in your efforts, congratulate yourself for your
courage and vitality."

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

the titles. I am on a hardcore non-fiction kick, trying to better
my mind. Some of my favorites are PlanetWalker, Freakonomics, Harry
Potter, The Ethical Slut. Twilight series, Perks of Being a
Wallflower, The Great Gatsby, A Million Little Pieces, A Child
Called It, anything by Sarah Dessen or Meg Cabot..pretty much most
books that have words haha.
Movies: One of my favorite things in the world is cuddling up in
front of a movie. I honestly dont even know how to go about listing
favorites, this is ONLY random ones that come to mind.. Across the
