My self-summary
What I'm doing with my life
Beginning my PhD at Aberystwyth, drinking coffee, discovering my
inner domestic goddess (no ironing or hoovering though).
I'm really good at
English... Spending money on shoes, listening to other people's
troubles.
The first thing(s) people usually notice about me
That I'm not very tall, that my glasses are like Harry Potter's,
that I only have a little bit of my Stoke accent left, until I get
enthusiastic or go home and then it comes back with a bit of a
vengeance.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Don't do favourites really, too much stuff in the world to choose
from but - Perfectly Correct by Philippa Gregory (I'm a bit of a
feminist but I like my fairy tale endings and this book has it
all), Brassed Off (love brass bands), The Wombles (they reuse and
recycle!), and cherries.
The six things I could never do without
Friends, books, internet, water (be it the sea, a canal or a
river), food, family.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Thesis, life, plans, plan Bs, plan Cs, now that I'm buying fewer
pairs of shoes I think about them more...
On a typical Friday night I am
in bed! On a non-typical night I might be in the pub, round at a
friend's, at the cinema, out for a meal, wandering by the sea,
usual stuff.
The most private thing I'm willing to admit here
I watch Neighbours and Desperate Housewives.
