My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
It's a strange thing, trying to summarize yourself. I am definitely a work in progress. I'm fairly intelligent, relatively pleasant, occasionally awkward, and frequently clumsy....I try very hard to be a decent human being, but I can't say that I succeed 100% of the time.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Work - I have a BA in Film and Digital Media, but have yet to apply it in a real world setting. I currently work at the corporate headquarters of an apparel manufacturer in San Francisco.

Outside of work - I really want to get in shape, so I've been going to the gym a lot, as well as trying to get a hike in on weekends. Also, I just started learning to play guitar. So far I'm pretty terrible.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Listening, giving semi-helpful advice, painting my toenails, writing, cooking, and stating the obvious.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I guess it depends on the situation....Recently, a lot of random strangers have told me to smile, so maybe I look angry walking down the street? I swear I'm usually not.

Other than that, people tell me I have pretty eyes.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Movies: Everything...Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Before Sunrise, Garden State, Donnie Darko, The Breakfast Club, Heathers, Four Rooms, Rear Window, Breathless, Amelie, Dazed and Confused, Dark City...that was a pretty random cross-section, but you get the idea.

Music: The Faint, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, M.I.A., Weezer, Le Tigre, Sleater Kinney, The Gossip, Elastica, The Cure, the Dandy Warhols, Poe, Rancid, Operation Ivy, Dead Kennedys, Cibo Matto, Joy Division, Hot Chip, LCD Soundsystem, MGMT, David Bowie, The Streets, The Strokes, The XX, Vampire Weekend, Nouvelle Vague, Jenny Lewis, CSS, Blondie, Best Coast, Cults, Yacht, Dum Dum Girls, Tennis, K. Flay, Social Studies... I could keep going on this one too.

TV: Some older favorites are Buffy the Vampire Slayer, My So-Called Life, Veronica Mars, Six Feet Under...some newer favorites are Mad Men, Girls, The Newsroom, Sherlock, Scandal, and (I can't believe I'm about to admit this) Revenge. I also recently jumped on the Dexter bandwagon, so I've been obsessively watching that on Netflix.

Books: Anything by Christopher Moore, Geek Love, Confederacy of Dunces, anything by David Sedaris, Memoirs of a Geisha...recent favorites have been Gone Girl and Warm Bodies.

Food: I do like to eat...Sushi, Tacos, Ceviche (and Peruvian in general), Bahn Mi (Saigon Sandwich in the Tenderloin is the best!), ice cream (Bi Rite, yum!), chocolate....Recently I've been on a bit of a health kick so there have been a lot of organic salads in there too...
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. my phone
2. a good book
3. a friend
4. a toothbrush
5. moisturizer
6. sunglasses
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What I am going to do next.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
It depends, but usually something pretty low-key. Maybe out for a drink or two, or just decompressing at home.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I can be a bit neurotic, although I don't think that is really a secret.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
-You have something interesting to say.
-You have a good movie/music/book recommendation.
-You don't mind a girl who's a bit of a spaz.
-You want to teach me how to play a bar chord on the guitar, because right now my fingers just don't want to do it.
-You have something interesting to say. Seriously guys, I understand that this online dating thing can be a bit of a numbers game, and you might not want to spend a lot of time introducing yourself each person, but it'd be nice if your message consisted of more than "hello."
