I'm a relatively recent transplant to Boston - I moved up for a new job in March. I grew up in DC, but my family was from up here originally so I'm quite familiar with the area. Like many of us in Democratic politics, I often have trouble separating my professional life from the rest of my life - hence my mentioning it here.

I've spent the last 5 years working in politics - it's given me an opportunity to have an impact and work closely with phenomenal people. I came into it as a volunteer for Howard Dean and John Kerry. Before I started in politics, I was a lighting designer and tech for stage and concerts, which is what I actually studied in college. At some point I'm going to wrap up a Bachelor's degree - I've started classes at Harvard Extension recently. It's not that I need it at this point, but I want one (and plus perhaps I'll go to grad school or law school at some point).

I have a love of indie rock, modern art, comedy films, video games, and books about urban planning. Basically, I'm a nerd.

Pretty much - I'm a nice guy, who's tended to be a bit too busy with work to pursue personal relationships. Why not give it a go here?

I work for a software firm that makes database software for Democratic political campaigns. They were my vendor for several years, and I jumped over to working from them this year. Prior to this, I worked for the Democratic Party overseeing the national database software used by every major Democratic campaign last cycle.

I'm a pretty good guitarist, decent cook, a whiz with computers and electronics, and have an unusually broad depth of useless knowledge.

To be honest, my ridiculous long hair. Then after talking to me - my intellect?
