My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Well, first off, I'm new to the area and very excited to explore my surroundings.

I find that some similar interests can facilitate a fun and memorable relationship (friendship or otherwise.) That being said, I would love to meet a person who could teach me a new skill or introduce me to a different hobby. I'm a very active, adventurous person and enjoy hiking, backpacking, skiing and rock climbing. Nature is a very important part of my life. I also subscribe to the idea that life is about experiences, not stuff.

Although playing in the dirt is fantastic, it's nice to put on a dress and feel like a million dollars. I enjoy going out to play pool, comedy clubs, live music and dancing. A night sitting in a book store, drinking coffee, sifting through adventure books, weird magazines and travel guides is also a great time.

I'm sarcastic and not easily offended. I laugh A LOT. Humor is such an essential part of life. Past nicknames of mine have been Giggles and Smiley. My life seems to follow Murphy's law. I'm constantly learning to adapt to it, and close friends usually say, "That would only happen to you." The positive aspect about living Murphy's law is that I have a lot of animated stories that others, and usually myself, find funny.

Random fun fact- I grew up around hockey and have hung out with Bobby Orr and Wayne Gretzky on multiple occasions.

Lastly, I have a wonderful yellow lab named Skyla, who takes up a huge chunk of my heart. If you meet her, you'll understand why.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
The dry rundown- I wake up at 4 a.m., go to Crossfit, walk my dog, work, walk my dog, sleep and repeat.

The more interesting tidbits- I'm learning Spanish and ASL. I love reading at night. I cook a great deal. On the weekends, I try to find at least one "memorable" thing to do. I make sure to smile and laugh my ass off at least once a day.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Scaring myself! I enjoy adrenaline rushes.

Favorite books- Unbroken, Fearless, The Alchemist, Touching the Void, Into Thin Air, Born to Run, Prozac Nation, Between a Rock and a Hard Place

Favorite Movies- Shawshank Redemption and most Pixar movies

Food- I LOVE food. I once had to fast for blood work and thought about going back to church to get my paws on a communion wafer. I cook a tremendous amount of fresh food. I eat about 90% Paleo and the other 10% is whatever tickles my taste buds. My body is my vehicle for getting around on this earth, so I'm going to put the "right" fuel into it, whenever possible. Everybody needs a gummy worm (or 10 and a cupcake,) a few times a week though.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My dog
Coffee (obscene amounts)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
(1) Aconcagua- It's one of the Seven Summits and located in Argentina. Climbing it is one of my dreams.

(2) What I want out of life- It fluctuates a lot, but I think that's what keeps it so interesting.

(3) Food

(4) Skiing and winter hiking- Now that it's cooling off, my mind is going into winter, need-to-go-to-Utah overdrive.

(5) Geek- When did geek become a verb?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I might be camping, going out to eat, playing pool, indoor climbing, cuddling with my dog or going for a night hike.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I love traveling, and try to as often as possible, but I am the worst commercial plane passenger. During my last flight I kicked the woman across the aisle and knocked over another passenger's drink. I have crazy, involuntary reactions to turbulence and brace myself for impact on every flight....multiple times. In retrospect, it's hilarious.
