I am bold, young at heart, and down to earth.

What I’m doing with my life
I'm a native New Yorker, born and raised. I spent three years in
Miami for school but decided I loved New York more so came back to
my homeland. I do miss walkin around in my glittery high heels and
club dresses though, I will admit. I work in law, at a big company,
not a firm. It has been an interesting experience out of school. 2
years out of school, I can say I am getting my work-life balance
on. From a lifestyle perspective, I think its very important to
meet people who have this balance.
When I'm not all bound up in legal beagle details, I am out biking,
kayaking, running, or just running around the city with friends. I
am particularly fond of Brooklyn and Manhattan, but the variety of
ethnic food in Queens can draw me there as well cause I love food.
I'm always seeking out interesting things to do in this city big
& bad, and happy it never disappoints. Not everyone here in NY
takes advantage of the variety that it offers. I think its
important to actively seek it out. There's many ways to do this
city.
I have a fun, snappy personality, and I put a high premium on hard
work, fairness, unselfishness, loyalty and friendship. I can have a
bit of a sarcastic edge at times, or silly "edge" (depending on my
mood, and most likely what I need to manage in my life). I like to
joke around, and I tend to get along with those who are not taking
everything too seriously, but who are still taking it seriously. I
prefer high-energy, rather than ultra mellow types. Not into the
hippy lifestyle. It would be great to meet people on here as
activity and/or workout pals, etc. with commonalities. I think its
important to manage one's expectations...and SO I think its smart
not to set them too high online, right? Of course, I'd be willing
to consider a date if we really clicked, however that happens.
I’m really good at
Cooking (when I follow the recipe, comes out bangin)
Laughing
Following through
Statutory interpretation (I love semicolons)
Talking to people (I'm just not afraid)
Reading people
Joking around
Wearing high heels
The first things people usually notice about me
"Where are you from" or "What is your background".
EVERYone asks me that. everyone. Go ahead. Ask away.
People notice other aspects of me..but I'm not gonna say it on
here. I just can't do it! LOL
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
I really loved the movie Ben X. Just saw it recently.
Soderbergh is one of my favorite directors.
I think Hemingway is brilliant.
I love french food, and every delicious calories and sip of red
wine that goes with it.
I like music, and tend to like peeps that are into music. I listen
to indie, house, progressive house, and love all the old 80s
classics, of course.
The six things I could never do without
French food
mofongo and rice & beans
lipstick
my bicycle
good friends
the weekend
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What to eat. I love food.
Achieving a work/life balance. So important.
On a typical Friday night I am
Out
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
These are true stories, true gems, for which I should get an award
of some type:
My first online dating experience (not on this lovely friendly site
of course but some other site) was with a extremely handsome blond
hair, blue eyed beautiful man who admitted to me over dinner that
he had been a dancer...
(at a gay club)
(for five years)
My second, with a plastic surgeon who had a wonderful photo with a
really stunning smile...
who showed up in person 15 years older harnessing a very
frightening michael jackson one-too-many procedures look...I ate my
popcorn in the dark movie theater very silently horrified that my
"date" had an eery resemblence to the joker.
You should message me if
You are *really only between 42 and.....26 (that's a pretty wide
range; no younger or older please..I will feel either molested or
like a molester).
You aren't "addicted" to online dating. I do think people can get
addicted; the whole thing can be like a perpetual coin slot machine
in Vegas. Granted, it can be challenging to meet people in a huge
city like NY, but you are a normal person who has it in check and
also is able to meet people (same or opposite sex) in a manner
other than online sites.
You are an American citizen or green card holder or have already
filed for lawful permanent resident status. American baby! (Caveat:
of course, if you are a hot german immigrant, please ignore the
part about "being" american. Its not really that important :)
You aren't in love with wearing a tie and you don't spend more than
70% of your time in a suit.
*You find this amusing:

*You have a curious mind in general, are able to self-motivate
without being selfish, are in touch with your creative side, and
feel passionate about at least *one thing is greater than yourself
(i.e., that doesn't 100% directly gratify you).
