Yup. That about sums it up
What I’m doing with my life
I'm trying to be a better health statistician. So, quite a bit of statistical programming and health survey data work

The fun stuff comprise: playing soccer some days, volleyball on others, chess, Scrabble (Words with Friends?), cycling, languages (I have a list of them but I take it one little step at a time), attending plays, concerts, movies. And of course, the occasional what-the-heck-was-I-thinking activity, just to get an adrenaline rush. I constantly look for new things to do/learn - keeps me on my toes! Essentially, I try to find my happy place daily.

Learning to play the guitar and Hindi!
I’m really good at
...accents (british, french, scottish/irish, pirate, deliberate east african etc.) and voices. Sometimes I confuse the accents and sound like a Klingon-pirate!
...jumping right in (when I'm really psyched up about something) That's how I learned to ice skate!
The first things people usually notice about me
- my exuberance (ZING!) No, seriously. I get a sugar rush from bananas! And I've been described as 'high on life'. So, there! Do you believe me now?
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: One of my favorite reads is Elegance of the Hedgehog by Muriel Barbery. I highly recommend it. I enjoy thriller, mystery, sci-fi, and non-fiction. Whatever I decide to read, I always appreciate the fresh, fun and less obvious. I'm currently reading The Goldfinch. Recs would be greatly appreciated! (Anything that's a great page-turner or detail-oriented)

Movies: Kite Runner, 500 Days of Summer, Kill Bill 1 & 2, Land of the Lost, The Descendants, Up in the Air, Hercules (Disney), Finding Nemo, Apocalypto, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, The Reader, Love in the time of Cholera, Persepolis, Celeste and Jesse Forever (hey, it takes a really mature look at 'happy ever after' and it's really funny)... etc.

Music: Red Hot Chili Peppers, Coldplay, The Script, Ingrid Michaelson, Train, Linkin Park, The Civil Wars, Damien Rice, Hootie & The Blowfish, Sugarland, Matt Kearney, Jason Mraz, Hillsong, Brooke Fraser, Third Eye Blind, 3 Doors Down, Fela, Everclear, Weezer, Lighthouse Family, Jack Johnson, The Kin, Capital Cities... etc.

Food: I'm an omnivore (Arrgh). I prefer the healthier, lighter options. And animal produce better not be raw or still alive. If it tastes, smells or looks good (in that specific order), I'll most likely eat it. And Chobani yogurt. I love that stuff! Nom!
The six things I could never do without
Personal electronics aside:
-great company/laughter
-black tea, with cream and sugar pls
-quiet spaces
-drawing (cartooning, to be precise)
-being active/adventure
I spend a lot of time thinking about
...patterns: behavioral, weather (of late), data (trends?) etc.

...the ticking time-bomb that is the tech industry! Someone needs to put a leash on how often they come out with 'new' gadgets these days. And consumers need to be more responsible about what they choose to buy: Do you really need that new phone that's only different from the older one because of it's higher screen resolution?

...astronomy and space exploration, mineral discovery (and if it's a good idea to tamper with the moon or ocean bed)

... the growing popularity of vaping, and whether e-cigs really are a public health risk

...swimming and SCUBA

...if that will taste better with Sriracha on it
