My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Well, I just moved to Sweden, and am still a bit lost here, but I will settle, one shall not worry.

In short I am: International, science-y, and sports-y. Working at Uni as a bioinformatician (doing the math and computer stuff for them biologists). A "bit" of a geek but of the good kind. Open-minded and always ready to discover new stuff! Loves Photography, digital and analogue, never leaves his house without at least a camera and a book.

I do a lot of sports, mostly running, but also mountain biking, climbing, and skiing. I will need to find new companions for most of these!

I am a real International model: born in Germany from German parents, brought up in France, spend a year in the US when was three, spent four and a half years in the UK and before that, a year in Singapore. Then for two and a half years, I lived for the first time in Germany, and now in Sweden!

That's more than enough about me, I think.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
At the moment digging through data, loads and loads of juicy data. Or running.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Getting distracted.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My funny confused accent.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Favourite books are hard, big fan of Charles Stross, Ian Banks, Ken MacLeod. Love the magic of Mieville, and Gaiman. Ok, there seams to be a pattern... I like British sci-fi and fantasy.

Movies: euh, not watching enough lately... Have to learn again. Grew up on Star-wars, Indiana Jones, and Ghost Busters. Have a weird Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis obsession. I do love a movie with a few explosions in it. Dark british comedy does it too though, like Hot Fuzz or Shawn of the Dead...

TV shows: erratic, I just watch Parks and Rec (loved it), think that Firefly should have never been canceled, and weekly Tatort watcher (one of the few germanities in me). Just started a weird obsession with Night Vale Radio, did not watch most of Game of throne yet but mostly because I read the books so do not really have the urge. Had my anime period (Samurai Champloo, Hellsing, Ghost in the Shell SOC, Cowboy Bebop, Kenshin...). Also the best show ever made is M.A.S.H., it is known.

Computer Games: mostly obsess over small indie games, my most recent time-sinks where F.T.L. and Dungeons of Dredmor, Space Pirates and Zombies, did steal quite a bit of life too... My linux-y obsession limits the scope of playable games... I do have a PS3 though to play the occasional fall-out 3 (I really suck at it), and random-"drive-fast-with-ridiculous-car" games (eally suck at this too).

A giant weird and eclectic taste in music, that ranges from symphonic metal, through hip-hop, punk, folk, all the way to the trashiest electronic possible you can find.

As for food... I simply loves food of ALL kinds.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
A camera, a book, my running gear, coffee, a beer.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How to stop thinking.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
in the pub
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Planning to far in time scares me...

You want to meet up, you look for someone to go climbing or mountain-biking, you want to tell me what to read (I am a bit out of reading material recently...), or any other imaginable reason actually!
