My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
The reason I am on here? I am chronically shy.

The day I was born was the worst day of my life. Why? Everyday onward has been, is, and will be better than the one preceding it. At least, that is my philosphy:) (if you are keen on citation, then C.S. Lewis gets credit here).
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am currently a salaried retail manager overseeing my multi-million dollar department. From then I hope to move on up in my company, pursue technical writing (and use my degree!), and return to grad school, since I love academics so much.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I love weight lifting. Bench and curl are my specialties, but I do plenty of other lifts as well. Sorry, I have a weak heart: no cardio:(

I love to write and am an aspiring author who has every intention of publishing.

I also am a listener. Most men don't like hearing about drama. Call me a drama king or doormat if you will:) If you have issues or problems, I don't take issue with that; I have experience trying to salvage relationships of other people. N.B. the word "trying". Come on, I am a manager, so I have to deal with drama, and not infrequently, I may add:)
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
No idea whatsoever. Tickle my fancy if you will.

I tend to be very expressive in my body language if comfortable and quit flippant with my humor.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Toni Morrison once said that should there be a book that you wish to read but cannot find it, write it. That is precisely what I am doing. Fantasy and science fiction do nicely for me. No, I am not composing a Lord-of-the-Rings rip off; the muses are only slightly more generous to me than that.

Movies: Romance, Horror, Action/Adventure. I have seen a bunch of 30's and 40's movies. Silver Linings Playbook, Gladiator, The Avengers, Spiderman, Moonrise Kingdom, Aliens.

I read a fair amount as well. I am currently reading Brideshead Revisited and Knight's Own Code of Chivarly by Geoffoi de Charny.

Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Why we can't just all laugh a little more and get along. As I move higher up in my job, I see so many people sacrifice their "beliefs" for a paycheck and such. Disappointing:(
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?

Working out.
The occasional movie in a theater.

Occasional outing.

You're actually a girl. Yeah, that's a gem for an online dating site.
