I am awesome, brilliant, and humble.

My Self-Summary

Like many others, I was born. I grew up in Havana, Cuba (speaking of Cuba, you know something is wrong with a country when our main export is our own population). It was a good childhood, full of poverty and lots of running from the government. When I was around five years old, my family was forced out of the country when my father admitted he still believed it was butter. Unlike most of my kind, I was unable to sail the seven (read:one)seas to freedom; we opted for the safer (read:lamer) airplane trip to Miami, Florida, otherwise known as Cuba Jr. (note: not to be confused with http://imdb.com/name/nm0000421).

It was a whole new world, and I had much to learn. Many of the activities I practiced daily in Cuba (smoking fine cigars, loving Communism) were frowned upon here in the States. Since my parents were often times far too busy and not giant robots / kung fu fighters, I instead turned to television for guidance. To this I warrant my habit of running away from reality, as well as my extreme distrust of anything giant, menacing, and/or Tokyo-destroying.

If I have a passion, it lies in the world of nutrition, fitness, and health; mostly because I would like to live forever and am working hard to insure that happens. My interests too nerdy to be called passions but too frequently performed to be called hobbies include video games, collecting Medieval weaponry, watching mixed martial arts (the nerdiest sport), smackin hoes, and the internet.

I've had a relatively good, drama-free life and strive to keep it that way mostly by being obscenely anti-social. In a small effort to change that, I've turned to you, internet. Being a homebody, I can usually be reached on AIM at GhettoTheMonkey (shut up). I also have a Myspace that I'm learning to check and use more often. There are more pictures and a blog there, and last I checked it's public so you may as well drop on by, just don't hate me for crossposting.

What I’m doing with my life

Dispensing rap lyrics as sagely advice, Finishing up my first year of college, majoring in Speech Pathology, toiling through slave labor as a personal trainer, and working slowly towards immortality.

I’m really good at

Making people laugh.

Sleeping through alarms.

Eating.

Personally training people (at least I'd like to think so).

Artificially extending the length of profiles via double spacing.

The first things people usually notice about me

My ass. It can stop traffic.

Also probably my giant hands.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

I like my novels like I like my music - made mostly by people that don't speak English and playable in MP3 format. I generally enjoy well-written fantasy novels, the A Song of Ice and Fire series by George R.R. Martin being my all time favorite. I've been trying to get into the Dark Tower series for a while, but don't have the reading time to keep up with it these days. If anyone could kindly summarize it for me, preferably with liberal use of onomatopoeia, I would be forever grateful. I'm currently reading through John Dies at the End, slowly but surely, and enjoying it immensely.

**Although I am of Cubano descent, I am a cracker. I should really stop spending so much time on OK-Cupid whoring my inadequate writing skills and more time finishing the seven novel long Dark Tower series.**

I'm pretty fond of generic action films. Guns, explosions, and boobs generally keep me interested. I enjoy comedy films to a lesser extent nowadays, mostly because Chris Farley is dead and no one will ever match up to his greatness nor girth.

I like anything sounding sufficiently epic; anything with swords, dragons, and the word "fortnight" used with reckless abandon gets my seal of approval . Genres that fall under this category include all fucking power metal ever. My favorite band is probably older In Flames. Anyone who brings up A Sense of Purpose will be met with tears and scorn.

Food is probably my favorite thing and I'll eat just about anything that doesn't look like/is a giant bug, although I am steadily working on the seafood thing. I am a big fan of steak and would eat it for every meal of every day if my wallet and heart weren't factors.

The six things I could never do without

1. Steak. Not so much physiologically as psychologically.

2. The internet.

3. Sight.

4. The written word.

5. Heavy things to lift.

6. The word "fuck".

I spend a lot of time thinking about

The present.

How much wood a woodchuck could chuck.

The political and economic states of several third world countries.

The viability of fighting crime as a caped vigilante.

My next meal.

On a typical Friday night I am

Sadly enough, with other nerdy friends on Xbox Live getting my sexuality questioned by preteens. That, or grudgingly studying.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

My biggest aspiration as a young teenager was to move to Japan so I could live my life like my hero and role model, Goku.

He is still my hero and role model.

:(

You should message me if

You like the things I like.

You hate the things I like.

You just want to chat.

You're one of those horrible stalkers. I don't bite!

Also don't be creepy! If your message includes the phrase "supple young flesh", I would suggest a revision.
