I am independent, open-minded, and giving.

My Self-Summary

Hi, my name is Erin. It's nice to meet you :) I'm originally from Colorado and moved to California in 2005. I finally know my way around this crazy city and I'm finding that all I want to do is share my adventures with a significant other. All of the people I've grown close to out here have moved to other places, so it's back to square one as far as meeting new people. In my spare time, I primarily see concerts, plays, and take occasional trips to the beach. I haven't let ANY of some typical LA standards affect who I am i.e. I'm not into my looks 24/7, I'm not selfish or self-absorbed, and I don't party all the time. I'm very emotionally mature for my age, I set goals for myself often, and I'm not much of a drinker or a smoker or anything addiction-related other than my love for music. I'm someone who will greet you with openness in hopes that you will do the same for me.

What I’m doing with my life

As mentioned earlier, I moved to California in 2005 and I moved here to pursue a career in the music industry. Push come to shove, I work for a great music company and I'm very content in what I do even if it isn't the "glamourous" side of it all.

I’m really good at

Noticing the details in life, talking and listening at the same time, organizing things, caring and understanding, smiling, lifting someone's spirit when they're down, being open and honest, expressing my emotions, communicating, getting people to open up about themselves, singing, and spelling and grammar :P

The first things people usually notice about me

How approachable, genuine, and trustworthy I am, how I'm extremely reliable, my smile, how I have an old soul in a young person's body, and how passionate I am about music.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Any Frommer's travel books, "He Just Not That Into You" (I've also discovered that the lessons in this book can even be applied to friendships with anyone, haha), otherwise I don't have too much time to read books unfortunately :(

I like a lot of the movies I grew up with moreso than movies made these days. Some include: When Harry Met Sally, Tommy Boy, The Wedding Singer, City Slickers, Sister Act...tons more than this of course.

Music is practically my heart and soul. I tend to fall in love mostly with singer/songwriters and strong vocalists since I also sing, so I'll just list my favs off the top of my head, but know that I'm truly open to any and all music: Sarah McLachlan, Chantal Kreviazuk, Celine Dion, Jars of Clay, Collective Soul, Goo Goo Dolls, Madonna, Josh Groban, Michael Buble, Bryan Adams, Plumb, Ben Folds, and Lifehouse to name a few.

Foods would be cheese, chocolate, Chipotle, Dairy Queen - random, yes, but any of these will make me happy on any given day. I'm learning how to cook more these days, so my food tastes have expanded greatly and would take too long list.

The six things I could never do without

Music, my family and friends back home, singing, having variety in my daily routine, having strong self-awareness, and traveling.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

If I could see myself in California in the future, if there is a good man out there worth waiting for or if it's better to live life for myself, how life is shorter than we think, how there literally is a song for every single thing we feel, and how much I miss the people that mean a lot to me that I can't be with.

On a typical Friday night I am

Staying up late chilling out watching a movie or talking on the phone - just grateful to be able to sleep in on Saturday since I'm not a morning person :P

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I still own all of the cassette tapes and VHS that I grew up with and refuse to part with :P

You should message me if

You're interested in getting to know me. I would hope that would be reason enough! :)
