My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am a hard worker, a gamer, an animal lover, a reader, a story lover, a romantic, and a city boy with country roots.

All my life I have always worked hard to achieve what I want. I persevere and continue on through rough times to get to my goals. Even though I may not always know exactly what's waiting for me on the other side, I never stop pushing forward. That being said, I also like to relax and have some fun after all the hard work. I enjoy playing video games, reading a book, watching Netflix, and hanging out with friends.

I love animals, especially dogs! Most of my life I planned on becoming a vet but for whatever reason I instead ended up going into business. I still really enjoy animals, and nature in general. My family is from the country, but I was raised in the city. So I still have an appreciation for farmland but have not experienced everything I would like to. I've gone hiking before and seen mountains in person, but I'd still love to try camping and spend some more time outdoors.

With me working so much, I've become a bit of a homebody and will often hang out at home by myself or with friends. My roommate and I occasionally host nerd nights that involve Magic: The Gathering, Munchkin, Doctor Who, and other indulgences. When home alone I like to spend free time playing video games when I get a chance. I recognize video games as a form of art and enjoy all aspects of them from rich story to complex characters to stunning visuals and of course great gameplay. While I do a lot more with my life than play video games, I would definitely be happy if I got more time to play.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Right now I'm working full time in retail management. I just recently got promoted to store manager so I plan to continue working in retail for at least a few more years. I eventually would like to go back to school to either further my degree in business or to study medicine.

There have been several times when I had my life figured out and knew exactly what I wanted to do and how I was going to do it. But life is funny and none of those plans I've figured out have every really worked out. I know that eventually I want a house and kids and a successful career that let's me spend time with them, but for now I'm still trying to choose which path to take me there.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm usually a pretty good talker. I used to be very shy and introverted and had trouble making conversation. Eventually I forced myself to start opening up and to start talking to people. Now I can usually have a conversation with just about anyone.

I'm also a pro at singing whatever song is NOT currently playing on the radio as well as changing the station right in the middle of a song. I'm also super good at overestimating how hungry I am and either ordering or making way too much food.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
People usually tend to notice my energy and positive attitude. I am naturally a very energetic person and approach all things with a lot of enthusiasm. I also make it a point to try and maintain a positive outlook on things and people usually see that in me.

Physically, people always seem to be drawn to my hair for some reason. No matter what I do with it, I will almost always have someone comment on it.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Fairly recently I got a Kindle and I lost it for about half a year so I've actually read very little in recent time. I was a huge reader when I was young and my all time favorite book would have to be The Giver. It is what got me into reading in the first place. I love a lot of the standards like Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and such. The most recent series that has struck my fancy is the Gentleman Bastards series by Scott Lynch.

I don't generally stick to any one genre of films, usually just whatever looks good at the time. But my favorites all come from Studio Ghibli, with Spirited Away holding the number one spot in my heart!

I mostly only watch TV through Netflix. The only shows I'm making an effort to follow right now are Walking Dead, Doctor Who, and How to get away with Murder. I also enjoy some comedies and sitcoms like Family Guy and It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia.

Like most people, I enjoy a pretty broad range of music. I love pop to showtunes to country. I'm really into punk and pop punk, though, and I love Spotify for constantly feeding me new artists. I have found some of my favorite bands through there, such as Marianas Trench, Junior Doctor, and Teen Hearts. I'm also a huge fan of YouTube artists like Sam Tsui, Alex Goot, and Max Schneider.

I really do enjoy trying new foods, but I am an ovo-lacto vegetarian and will only try foods I know are meat-free. New restaurants and new dishes are always exciting and I'm usually pretty good at being able to find something meat-free so I tell people not to worry when we go out to eat.

As for games, I tend to prefer RPG's and the amazing stories and characters that come with them. I also enjoy adventure/exploration games and platformers. I've recently started to get into shooters thanks to Bioshock. Generally, as long as it's fun, I can enjoy most games. Some titles/series of note are Tales of Symphonia, Guild Wars, Final Fantasy, Star Ocean, and my all-time favorite game, The Legend of Dragoon (1,000,000 points to anyone familiar with it).
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Video Games

Bonus #7: Coffee
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What I want to do with my future, both short term and long. I spend a lot of timing trying to plan out what I want to do when over the next couple days, though things usually never go according to how I plan. I also like to think long term and set goals for myself down the road.

Lately, I've been thinking specifically about the things I want to be different in my life and how I'm gonna change those things. In particular, I'd like to figure out how to go back to school!
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I often work on Friday nights, but if I'm not stuck at work then I'll probably be hitting up all my friends and seeing who wants to hang out. Occasionally I like to go out and enjoy a few drinks and karaoke with friends. Usually though we'll just end up hanging out at someone's place and chilling. If everyone's busy, I'll usually spend my Friday night playing a game, watching Netflix, or reading.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I am terrible with names and faces. And I know most people will say that. I am quite possibly the worst at remembering names and faces though. I can literally meet someone five times and still not recognize them. I have trouble picking out my extended family in group photos. I don't know if my brain is just missing the part responsible for remembering this info, but it's a true struggle.

You have more to say than "Hey, what's up." or any iteration of such.

Honestly what I probably need more than anything right now is just some more friends, someone to hang out with now and then. So if you think we'd get along, feel free to start a conversation.
