My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I was at uni in Dunedin in the '90s, started out doing a BA in music and anthropology but ended up doing a B Com, majoring in management. Returned home to Oamaru after graduating and have been at the freezing works ever since. I realised I was happier doing real work with a good team of people, than stuck behind a desk pushing a pen all day. I'm grateful to have a job to come back to year after year, and the off-seasons provide opportunities to travel and nurture creative/musical projects that otherwise become neglected.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Well, I've been through a stage of doing extensive travel in the last couple of years, from Tahiti to the UK, to Turkey, Greece, Belgium, France, and Italy. I also went to the USA and saw one of my favourite bands, System of a Down, live in concert on their reunion tour. Looking ahead, I want to keep my head down, work hard and save intensively for the future.

Right now I'm enjoying planting an all-organic vege garden for the first time in my life! Several varieties of heirloom Maori potatoes, peas, runner beans, silver beet, carrots, radishes, all coming up nicely. Plus all the new fruit trees.. I bought a greengage, some peasgood apple trees, a pear, an apricot, almond, some hazelnut trees - building up a lovely little orchard - hence I tend to spend my weekends in the garden :)
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
My dream was to become a well-known songwriter, guitar player, producer, collaborator etc. Been writing and recording songs since I was 6 years old and still love to jam on guitar today. I also play bass, drums, a bit of keyboard, love to rock out!

You can listen to and download lots of my demos here: http://www.reverbnation.com/kyleseyb

I used to play in several bands down in Dunedin; we gigged at places such as the Crown, the Empire, the university, Sammys.. I also enjoy upgrading and fixing computers, anything tech-related.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Probably my enthusiasm for music! Or my enthusiasm for wacky conversations on the paranormal, ufos, the unexplained etc. Or an opinion on things affecting us in the world, any subject goes. Or if you want to chat about last night's episode of Shortland Street or who got kicked off Survivor or Hells Kitchen, that's me! My height probably gets me noticed too. I'm pretty quirky, but I'm a good listener and I'm helpful and caring. People who truly know me realise I'm not perfect, but I have a good heart.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
BOOKS: Not much of a book reader, I love absorbing news and techy sites on the internet, places like Wikipedia, Facebooking and message boards.

MOVIES: The Fifth Element, Avatar in 3D, Dumb and Dumber, Zoolander, Face/Off, Once, Love Actually, Music and Lyrics, The Lovely Bones, Ed Wood, Pirates of the Caribbean, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Amelie, The Big Lebowski. Anything really.

TV SHOWS: Shortland Street, American Idol, Survivor, An Idiot Abroad, Blackadder, Black Books, Father Ted, Miranda, The IT Crowd, Ali G, Frank Spencer, Alan Partridge, The Young Ones, Bottom.. classic Brit comedy.

MUSIC: The Beatles, Nirvana, System of a Down, The Cure, Elliott Smith, Jimi Hendrix, Blood Red Shoes, Sky Ferreira, Urge Overkill, Muse, Soundgarden, Stone Temple Pilots, Lady Gaga, Ladyhawke, Marina And The Diamonds, Panic At The Disco, Three Days Grace, Sia, Metric, Silversun Pickups, Black Sabbath, Simon & Garfunkel, Shocking Blue, Slipknot, Korn, Disturbed, Laura Nyro, Neil Young, Ke$ha, The Smiths, Jeff Buckley, Led Zeppelin, T Rex, Rasputina, Queens of the Stone Age.. anything grungy, anything psychedelic from the 1960s, anything gothic (Siouxsie, The Sisters of Mercy), or anything electropop/new wave with catchy hooks.

Even if it's a cheesy country classic like 'The Most Beautiful Girl' by Charlie Rich or 'Nights In White Satin' by The Moody Blues.. I'll listen to, or jam along to pretty much anything/everything! ..usually putting my own grungy/indie spin on things!

FOOD: Turkish and Greek would be my fave, also love Chinese. Not too fussy.. the only things I truly won't eat, would be asparagus and beetroot!
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
-My guitars and music gear.
-Internet
-My big black coffee mug.
-My wool-lined winter check shirt :)
-My car.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
-Desiring true love and wishing she was here with me right now. :(
-Regretting stupid decisions I've made in the past, and hoping someone will one day love me for who I am, and not judge me.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Watching the news, then Shorty Street, then American Idol, then Graham Norton and 7 Days, then Miranda, and then off to bed! Friday night is a Big night for TV!! Yup living the high life here, never a dull moment lol
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
That I am a fan of KE$HA! :P
