I am a nerdy-geek type. I'm a college graduate with a BA in creative writing. I like to tell stories, so forgive me if I go off on a tangent.

I am the receiving manager of a bookstore. I love reading and I love to share my enthusiasm with people. Along those lines I do some volunteering for science-fiction/fantasy conventions. I also write and am working on a few pieces. I've lately fallen into an endless spiral of fanfiction. Its fun and at least it has me writing something every day.

I don't really know. I know the first observations that are usually stated are: "You're a dork" or "You're silly."

I hate doing this! This part is always the hardest for me.

Movies: Mostly things science fiction/fantasy. Some horror. Romantic comedies are my guilty pleasure.

Shows: Trueblood, Lost Girl, Once Upon a Time, Grimm, Glee, American Horrorstory, Suburgatory, Doctor Who, Torchwood, Dollhouse, Castle, Warehouse 13, Haven, Walking Dead.

Food: Japanese, Pizza, Diner-food, Chinese, Thai, Vietmanese. I want to say Ethiopian, but I haven't had much. I need to try some more to say for sure.

Music: A lot of different things. What I'm listening to lately: Chameleon Circuit, Steam Powered Giraffe, The Cruxshadows, Maroon 5, and a lot of different stuff.

No order: Friends, family, MP3 player, writing implement, paper, ereader of some sort so I can have a large library of books at my disposal, but only one item.

what-ifs. I try to avoid the "could-have-beens." I prefer to think more about "what if someone wrote their love letters to playboy and only had them published there?" The imaginary what ifs that lead to interesting characters or stories. I try not to get trapped in my own personal what ifs, but it does happen from time to time.

I don't have a typical Friday night. If I'm not working I could be up for a lot of things.

This is hard for me. I'm pretty open with my friends, and if you're not my friend I can't think of anything more I'd like to share until you are. . .

you want to have an actual conversation. I'm looking to get to know people and not just a hook-up. Also, if you haven't been put off by my lack-luster profile.
