My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a full-time father (maternal mother not involved, I have sole-custody), a Marine veteran, an architectural enthusiast, and hope to one day run a small Tiny-House community; currently though, I'm a mechanical drafter. I guess I could also list my occupations, in chronological order: Ice cream parlor, Marines, Thai cook, property inspector, mechanical drafter, ...potential property manager.

During my day, I enjoy any physical activity, especially the outdoorsy stuff, and I strive to remove the veil from this world for both myself as well as my son. I enjoy competitive physical feats, as well as mental ones (will probably try you at chess), but I'm also modest and humble in my victories; promise I wont make you cry.

In my evenings I'm mostly a homebody, and gain a tech/science obsession, playing video games, loading custom ROMs on my phone, or working on my website. I scour the internet for forums and articles that can give me information on my current interests and the latest and greatest, and I enjoy documentaries relating to space, physics, travel, sociology, and anything else grounded in the explainable and apart from the speculative.

My hopes are to one day encounter a fit, techie-dork such as myself, who's humble, modest, and ambitious in discovery. Oh, and who's not a child abuser.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
My son and I live alone together, and it's been that way for the past 6 years. I acquired two associates degrees after departing from the Marines, coming away with a 4.0 GPA in my last endeavor, and ending with a 3.9 overall. I was awarded the Outstanding Student Award during my first college experience, and received the Who's Who Award while going for my business degree. In the Marines, I achieved the pay-grade of E-5 in 4 years, and received the Navy Achievement Medal. ...I'm an achiever.

After finishing the business degree, I took myself some real estate classes, and then got myself licensed. I by-far favor the graphic design and artistic aspects of architecture, rather than the whole contracts and law side, so I pretty much diverted from the whole Realtor path, and instead spend my productive time at home designing Tiny Houses.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm an organizer, an optimizer, and perhaps you could call me a synthesizer (I'm capable of a wide range of skills, in many varying tones).
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
They don't notice me, the boy gets all of the attention. ...ALL OF IT.

Lately, I've been burning through Iain Banks' books. I can tell that he and I think a lot alike, feeling such relation to his character's internal monologues. He writes some really good SciFi, taking cutting edge modern real science and developing concepts and scenarios that very well could be where society heads in the future, considering human desire and social norms.

Music lingers for me more so than any other media. I guess that it takes rhythm and repetition for something to feel worth sticking around. Also, media libraries are so vast and varied, be it books, music, or movies, that it's too easy to write-up a huge list of titles that nobody else has even heard of. Music is the quickest form to take-in however, so if I were to make recommendations to someone with so little investment in me, then it'd be music. So listed below are a bunch of artists that I think are the bee's knees.

Sub Swara, The Distance, Punch Brothers, Chis Thile, Pepper, Slightly Stoopid, Rebelution, Yann Tiersen, Toast Machine, Pretty Lights, Beats Antique, Bassnectar, The Glitch Mob, Wax Tailor, Black Joe Lewis & The Honey Bears, The Beautiful Girls, The Sword, Nightmares On Wax, Kyuss, Dozer, and Xavier Rudd.... and since I presume that mostly females are reading this, I'll reveal the following: Ingrid Michaelson, Regina Spektor, and Liz Pappademas. Also, Audra Mae's album "The Happiest Lamb;" it's one of my favorites.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
...things that are beyond that of society. Oh, and also how to cope with society. The coping scheme entails getting a business off the ground and flying, and now that I think about it, such actually occupies the majority of my thinking, with frequent interruptions by the little guy. ...or it's the other way around, I don't know. I'm pretty sure that I'm not totally work oriented, but sometimes ideas just encompass my thinking. Does "Tiny House Community" resonate with you as well?

Also, I do think about possibilities of an afterlife. Here's my best explanation: souls I believe are developed, not a part of the package from the get-go. Consciousness is a result of retaining information, taken-in by our senses. If there is an afterlife, then I believe that it is merely a different state of being, and not a separate world. I believe that this state is simply our conscious living-on after our supposed death, except without the boundaries and restrictions that come with a physical body. Matter is essentially energy, and our thoughts exists as electrical impulses coursing through matter, being our brain, but who's to say that our conscious wont be uploaded onto the mother of all brains, being the universe? I believe that it is essential to live-out a happy and productive life here on Earth, in order to develop your mind as much as you can, in preparation for a time when it is all that you have. It is the burdens, challenges, and feedback that comes with a body, that provides the means to develop a soul/mind. ...Perhaps it is during the REM phases of our sleep that we upload our consciousnesses to "the cloud," where they are backed-up, and remain inactive until our bodies have given-out. As well, perhaps the afterlife very much resembles lucid dreaming. At any moment, subatomic particles are passing through our bodies, so perhaps this is a natural form of wireless technology, and those particles are a means of reading and copying our consciousness, to achieve an existence elsewhere. ...Blackholes? At least one supermassive blackhole is now thought to reside within every galaxy, and why wouldn't it be possible that they serve as some type of network server, recording all information that goes-on around it. ...prove me wrong.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
...guarding the door. I do however get time off as a parent. The boy goes to one grandmother's one night of the week, and to the other grandmother's another night of the week, but neither of those nights happen to be Friday night. But they both like to enjoy time with him, and I at least try to enjoy my time without him.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
JI want to experience standing at the starting line of a race, with my significant other next to me, wound-up to the point of bursting, and wishing each other good luck. I want to experience that feeling in many aspects of life with my significant other. Her and I vs the world, vs each other.

...also I have one tattoo. It's not really private or anything, but it is undisclosed everywhere else here.

Oh, and once in a while, I put it keyword "video games," when I browse matches. My Steam gamer tag is... My_Mutt. Come and play. I honestly don't play all that much myself, but I do really like gamer culture, and feel that if I had a co-op buddy, then I'd be much more inclined. I mean I often can't go anywhere in the evenings, and I do consider gaming much more productive than merely watching TV.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
Message me if you have anything interesting to say. I treat this site like a walk in the park, in that I have this account in order to put myself out there and create further opportunity. It's just another chance to have an encounter, and a pretty efficient one at that. What I mean is that I'm capable of having a friendly conversation that isn't based off of pick-up lines and resembling an interview, so please don't be afraid. If you do have a keen interest in me, then be sure to express it, because I'm not likely to try and push anything myself. I understand my irregular situation, and though I'll try to sell it on here, I'm more comfortable with being approached in that matter, rather than trying to make the proposition myself.
