My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hi there! *waves*
Thanks for stopping by, please take the time to read more...

I'm Lindsay, but you can call me Lindz...
I'm not specifically on here looking for love, I'm looking more for friends from around the world.
I want to have at least one friend from each state in the US for example.
So, let's chat!

I'm an honest person, so I'll be upfront - I suffer from a condition called cerebral palsy & have to use a wheelchair.
Please feel free to ask me about my disability, you are unlikely to offend me. Plus, I'd much rather you ask than not give me a chance. There's so much more to me than just my wheels!
But if this bothers you then jog on...
I'm also bisexual, the same applies.

I really hate talking about myself, which is ironic - I'm an ex journalism student. I'm not a party girl & I'm not into that in to fashion. I guess you could think of me as a bit of a geek.

I don't really like to think of myself as having a "type"; but I know what I'm looking for ;)

The little things in life please me and I'm easily amused...
I love music too and have a very eclectic taste - everything from Rammstein to Olly Murs! I'm quite into 90s boybands again and met 911 recently. Seeing them again and a1 soon :)

I am a hardworking person, work 4 jobs at my local hospital. Yes, 4 jobs. So if you're workshy, we'll not get along...

Well done if you got this far, I do go on a bit... So, if you like what you see and you don't take life far too seriously you should message me :)

Feel free to add me on Facebook if you've got it:
Oh and my relationship status on FB is a joke, the guy is my gay best friend :)

Not sure how to start a conversation with me?
Answer this: if you could have 3 wishes what would they be?

PS. Don't be rude, if you've viewed my profile at least have manners & stop by and say hello at least!

If you'd rather email, my email address is
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working lots!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm good at lots of things, I just don't like to brag.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
The obvious answer there would be my wheelchair, but I'd like to think that those who see past it just see me and who I am.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I'm a major bookworm, I've a pile of about 10 books waiting to be read at the moment - I've just not had the time! I read lots of different genres and my favourite authors change regularly. Enjoying psychological thrillers by Sophie Hannah and horrors by Susan Hill at the moment tho!

I'm not big on movies but I love Tim Burton, and Disney. Still just a big kid at heart!

TV shows are more my domain, especially American ones - CSI, CSI:NY, Law and Order, NCIS, Sons of Anarchy and loads more. Enjoy a lot of British comedy too - Mrs Browns Boys, Red Dwarf, Father Ted, BlackAdder :)

As I mentioned before, my music taste is pretty eclectic. A lot of my teenage emo kid taste still sticks with me - Evanescence, Good Charlotte, Green Day, My Chemical Romance - but I enjoy 80's music that I grew up listening to, 90s dance, even a bit of 90s pop.
And over the last few years, I've developed a bit of a crush on Olly Murs...

As for food... Cake!!! I'm not a picky eater, I don't care about calorie controlled diets - quite simply, I like food and if I want to eat it, I will. Only thing I can't eat is spicy food - it just doesn't agree with me :(
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My few close friends - I have learnt the hard way to be more careful who I trust.

A book; something I can lose myself in.

My imagination, beacause sometimes the here and now is too much.

Music - the above applies there too...

My bed. I love my bed, I spent a lot of time choosing it, comfort is important to me and my bed is my safe place.

A few well loved soft toys - might sound silly but when I've needed them, I've always felt safe with my one eyed, stuffy, 21 year old Rupert Bear... Used to take him everywhere with me as a child. He's even been abroad. If I thought I could get away with keeping him in my bag, I would still probably carry him around. Bet you think I'm mental now...
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Making jewellery and other craft projects. In the time I've spent writing this, I've come up with a few ideas....

The future and what I'd like from it. Marriage and children would be lovely, but I try not to overthink it; what will be will be.

Work - unfortunately. Sometimes I just can't switch off.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Tucked up in bed with selection of crisps, sweets, biscuits and juice watching tv...
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I own two signed Olly Murs photos. One was a gift from my best friend and another arrived randomly through the post just after Valentines Day and I have no idea who sent it...

If you've got this far, the ball is in your court, but it'd only be polite to say hello at least...
