Hi there, Im a friendly, slightly shy girl who would like to meet some nice new friendly people! I'm pretty outgoing and have ecclectic tastes in most things, I suppose I would class myself as being a little geeky...but deffinately in a good way!!
Any how...read on and see!!

Well, I have completed my first year at university successfully and will be embarking on my first year of Medicine in September! I am really rather excited about getting back to city life and the joy of studying!!
Currently this summer I have been living a thrifty existence due to a lack of work but indulging my hobbies quite a bit. I have never read so many books in such a short amount of time!

Studying....which I hope will stand me in good stead! Im not sure what else really without making me sound arrogant so Im going to stop there!

Im not sure really as I very rarely bump into myself! I suppose people notice my hair, its long and curly and aubern and after that I would like to think its my face!!

Books: Im an avid reader and passionate about literature so this is quite a hard one to summarise! I also have a passion for graphic novels and comics which most people find hilarious but there ya go!! Most recently I have read Ishiguru - The Unconsoled, Muriel Sparks - The Girls of Slender Means, Marguerite Duras - The Ravishing of Lol Stein, Martin Amis - Other People, Edith Wharton - Etnak Frome and JG Ballard - Kingdom Come.....Ive also read a fair few more but theyre the most recent!!

Total favorites have got to include To Kill a Mocking Bird, The World According to Garp, The Cider House Rules, Choke, Catch 22, Of Mice and Men, 1984, The Spire, The Bonfire of the Vanities, A Maggot.....this list will just keep growing!

Films: Again, Im a bit of a film fanatic so another hard one to summarise. One of my favorites is The Silence of the Lambs, Perfect Blue... I love Alice by Jan Svankmajer, Tim Burton films, I love the batman films (apart from forever and batman and robin!) I like films by Alfred Hitchcock alot too especially Vertigo, Rope, Psycho and North by Northwest. Donnie Darko, American beauty, Hidden, There will be Blood, No country for old men, dont look now, belle de jour, sin city....... There really are way too many to write about here!!

Music: Again quite ecclectic but I mainly listen to alternative and Classical. I also like most mainstream stuff but Im not a big fan of rap and dance music! Im also quite fond of big band swing, 20's jazz and anything with a yester year feel to it when in a nostalgic mood!!

Food: I dont really have a favorite food, Im quite adventurous with my tastes so am always up for trying something new...sushi however is the one thing that I really dont like the idea of!!

my life and what I am doing with it, strange things that have no reason to be popping into my mind, where my keys are, whether I have done enough work for monday, what day it is...that kind of thing!!

This varies quite alot! I'm either out and about with some friends doing some terrible dancing and the like or Im staying in being studious and working away at some exciting new topic!
Ideally I would like to be snuggled down reading a book or watching a great film with a glass of ((red wine))!!

but that would take away all the fun!!
