My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am mostly reserved. I've grown to go with the flow instead of trying to manipulate every situation I'm in. Turns out, this path is a bit less stressful. I find myself caring more about everybody else's well-being before my own. This is a blessing and a curse.

Initially joined this site for something serious, though I believe now I'll just stick with making friends. Going with the flow...
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
consists solely of getting my learn on, working, and trying to find ways to rearrange my kitchenlivingroombedroom (all one room) for the most efficient living space. I also withdrew from classes in 2012 to pursue a job with a software company developing software which has taught me more than any traditional Computer Science curriculum probably could. In the interim, I believe I'll pursue a more non-traditional path towards an education.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Clairvoyance, palm-reading, and... yeah right, who am I kidding?
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
is that I have no problem laughing at anything, I can be a little potty-mouthed at times (though I know when not to), I use the word "shall" more than normal and probably more than contemporary English accepts (blame it on the fantasy novels), I have a fantastically full beard, and I nearly always think of others before myself. One other thing people usually notice is that I get my hurr did ("haircut") nearly every week.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Just finished the first two books in Patrick Rothfuss' The Kingkiller Chronicle series. Excellent read for those who enjoy a good fantasy novel. For a better idea of what I've read and plan to read, refer to

I prefer movies over shows. Shows will suck me in and I'll lose track of time/responsibilities. Not exactly conducive to a productive life. Though I'll be hypocritical right now and watch Game of Thrones...

Music is all over the board for me. I love some rap, some country, some early rock, some later rock, and everything in between. Not a big fan of Indie. I also like electronic. Some examples might be:
rap - 2 Chainz (definitely kidding)
country - Tim McGraw (the old stuff)
early rock - Led Zep
later rock - Coheed and Cambria
electronic - The Crystal Method ('Crystal Meth' for fun)

While I am patriotic, I generally prefer most ethnic foods over American food. Japanese food (sushi and sashimi) is my favorite, but Thai and Indian closely follow.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
computer (to include monitor, keyboard, and mouse), desk, bed, bookshelf, sunglasses, and pocket knife. Weird? Get over it.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Surprisingly, self-help related topics have crescendoed to the forefront of my thoughts over the past couple of years. There are some pretty fascinating insights in those kinds of books. I also think about how I can produce the best batch of french pressed coffee. I don't know if I'll ever go back to a regular coffee maker.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Looking for a brief way of unwinding from the week, but on Friday my week isn't over yet, so I don't generally let myself have too much fun. tl;dr - I'm usually sitting on my fat ass and working on some programming or reading. Maybe with some beer.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
is that over a period of a couple of months some time back, I spoke with a thick Russian accent at a bar and had everyone convinced I was a student from Russia. Still have some of them fooled to this day. One of my prouder moments in life to date.

Funny that this should be included for the male population on this site...
