My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.'s pretty succinct, yeah?
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Living it, I hope. I work in a museum, I swim in/direct/produce water ballets, I co-run a pie festival. I spend a lot of time singing the praises of Baltimore (city haters need not apply). I like to see live music, read books, partake in $5 movie night at the Rotunda, watch men's roller derby, and try out all the crazy, wonderful, overwhelming, and amazing things this city has to offer.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Giving advice (when asked for it!), water ballet choreography, coming up with ideas for all manner of things, being ridiculous. Also, overusing parenthesis. I am like a gold-medalist in the parenthesis portion of the punctuation Olympics. (Sadly, I'm completely out of the running in the semi-colon relays.)

I take up a fair amount of space - literally and figuratively!

I am a whorish media consumer - I love to be entertained, especially with words. I don't read enough these days but I still read more than average, particularly folks like Neil Gaiman, Lois McMasters Bujold, Scott Westerfeld, Holly Black and a good chunk of the internet. I have a webcomics habit and an RSS feed that gets overwhelming after 24 hours. I love movies where shit blows up and watch way too much terrible romantic comedies on demand. My netflix account currently has me obsessed with Harlan, Kentucky; Oxford, England; and rewatching the MCU movies. I love live music but I don't get to enough shows, my taste is varied and includes top 40s (I've never been cool, should just get used to it now) and though I'm a new listener I truly don't understand the hate on so many people have for country music.

I'm a big fan of food :) I like to cook and try new things and I'm still hopeful that someday I'll start to like seafood, mushrooms, and olives (sorry eggplant, I'm just not holding out hope for you. Purple's a lovely color but you're just a squashy mess). My omelettes now become scrambled eggs only about 30% of the time,so I'm improving!
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
My budget. Dancing. What movie to watch. What theme should my next party have. Food. Where to go with my career. Why Baltimore is so awesome.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Is there such thing as a typical Friday night? Sometimes it's dinner with friends, sometimes it's put-your-dance-pants-on time, sometimes it's flop into bed at 8pm completely exhausticated!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I want a tattoo. I'm woefully untraveled. The idea of making phone calls makes me anxious. I hate cleaning. I own enough pairs of underwear to go a month without doing laundry.
