I got here by installing a Facebook application, which surely says something though I'm unsure what. Hopefully something about curiosity, but more probably something about procrastination.

I like stories and using my imagination. So what does that mean in practical terms? Well, for one I enjoy roleplaying games, reading fiction, watching movies and so on. I also enjoy reading aloud, storytelling, theater and writing (well - mostly I'm too lazy to really write, but at least sketching out stories, characters and plots. Have managed to finish a couple of NaNoWriMos though). Part of this fascination is probably due to introvert escapism, and part of it is that I'm so damn smart, that I need something to keep my brain engaged :) I'm sure there is a more positive and less snarky spin on that, but I enjoy a good snark so I don't really need one. :)

I am stylish, nerdy, and charming

I try to learn new things all the time. Most recently I studied law at night school, and I'm thinking I might try sociology or psychology next. I've studied anatomy via online lectures. In general I've found that the kick other people talk about getting from a good workout I get from attending a lecture, reading an interesting article or watching an inspiring TED talk.

Picking up useless (and occasionally useful) facts.

Coming up with questionable ideas end evil plots. All in the name of interesting stories.

Baking. Well, I guess it depends on your definition really good, but I've baked my share of stribed joconde bisquit and meringue layer cakes, and I enjoy learning new recipes.

I also like to pretend I'm really good at other things, a delusion I keep up by mostly doing things I'm good at :)

That I'm better dressed than they would espect for a nerd. Or that I'm way nerdier than I look :)

Hmm - I don't like to pick favorites, since it all depends on mood. But I guess I can select a few highlights.

Books: Raymond Chandler, Terry Pratchett, Oscar Wilde, Jim Butcher.
Movies: The Labyrinth, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Dr. Strangelove, Grease.
TV: Star Trek, Glee, House, Fringe.
Music: David Bowie, Haydn, Katie Melua, Army of Lovers.
Food: Sushi, italian, indian. Pancakes. I love making pancakes. :)

Well, there are all the obvious bits, like food and air. But I doubt that is the point of the question.

My imagination and a chance to exercise it.
Rationalisations (try going a week without those). Mainly of my own actions, but even of others.
Books. I don't read as much as I'd like currently, but even now I just don't feel comfortable with a book close at hand.
Puzzles. Anything to occupy the mind. :)
Sugar. Part humming-bird, part man, that is me. But fortunately my metabolism seems to handle it just fine, so I guess I'm just well adapted to living in the 21st century.

Looking at other profiles it seems I'm supposed to mention sex as well, but as much as I enjoy it, I've had opportunity to discover I go very long without it. :| Oh well.

Stories. Coming up with new ones and mulling over the ones I already know. Same thing with games. Work habit I guess.

Why our laws are the way they are, and how they might be refactored to be more understandable. I think the very need for legal experts to resolve even basic issues is a potential democratic problem, as it disenfranchises the regular public.

What I might do with various superpowers - mostly in the realm of telepathy or clairvoyance.

Regrets. Contrary to the popular notion I don't believe in living without regrets. I believe regrets are a sign you can imagine a better world and how you might have acted differently to bring that better world about. I believe that teaches me something about what I really want and how I might act differently in the future.

Lots and lots of other things. I may tend to think a bit too much.

Probably playing games, be it role playing, board games or computer games. And possibly drinking. I have a thing for rum and whisky.

I have a complete collection of XXXenophile comics, and I greatly recommend them.
