My self-summary Propose an edit
I'm on here just to try this out and see who is out there,
hopefully make some new friends and see what happens. I'm a
NC State grad
with a degree in Computer Science (I know, not the coolest of
majors). I remain a big Wolfpack fan, despite how both our Football
and Basketball teams played this year. I'm a lot more into college
sports (particularly the ACC) than pro sports. Other things I enjoy
are hanging out with friends (obvious answer), movies, music, and
the occasional video game. I haven't really figured out what else
to put here that I'm not writing in some other section of my
profile page, so I'll let the rest of my profile fill in.
Everything else I'll leave for you to find out on your own by
sending me a message and asking.
What I'm doing with my life Propose an edit
I'm currently living in Columbia, SC working as a web developer at
BlueCross BlueShield. I moved down here out of college a couple
years ago because that's where the first job I found was. Unless I
find a better reason than my job to stay down here in Columbia, I
really want to get back to Charlotte or Raleigh because that's
where most of friends are. Have to find a job up there first
though. In the meantime, I make it up to Charlotte to pay my
friends a visit when I have the time and don't have anything going
on down here.
I'm really good at Propose an edit
I can be a quiet guy so that makes me a pretty good listener. I'm
also really good at trivia, I know a lot of little random facts
that can sometimes surprise people but rarely come in handy.
The first thing(s) people usually notice about me Propose an edit
Most people's first impression is that I'm typically pretty shy at
first but I open up when I get to know people. I'm also the one
whose cracking the jokes, I love making people laugh.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food Propose an edit
Books - I'm currently going between reading Stephen King's Dark
Tower series (not my favorite by him, I prefer the traditional
horror books like Cell or the Shining) and actually finishing the
Hitchiker's Guide books. I don't read as often as I would like so
books last me a while. Some other recent good books I've read are
Dan Brown's books, Digital Fortress and The Da Vinci Code, and
Chuck Palahniuk's books, Fight Club and Lullaby. I have a long list
of other books I want to read when I get around to them.
Movie - I love comedies, particularly the recent Judd Apatow movies
like Knocked Up, Superbad, and The 40 Year Old Virgin. Also a big
fan of Wes Anderson (not The Life Aquatic though) and the Coen
Brothers (I'll even admit the enjoying the Ladykillers and
Intolerable Cruelty). Action and Sci-Fi also top my list when I'm
just looking to be entertained, although I much prefer the ones
from the 90's and earlier (the Die Hard movies, the first three
Alien movies, the original Star Wars trilogy...) to the movies that
come out these days. Other than those, some of my other favorite
movies are Boondock Saints, Donnie Darko,
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Garden State, Pan's Labyrinth,
Pulp
Fiction, The Shawshank Redemption, and 300.
TV - Just to name a few shows: 24, Lost, Prison Break, Scrubs, Family Guy, The Simpsons,
Heroes, Chuck,
South Park, Battlestar Galactica, Its
Always Sunny in Philadelphia, The Office, Entourage, Dexter, How I
Met Your Mother
Music - I listen to all types of music bu mostly prefer modern rock
and alternative. I love Coldplay, Snow Patrol, Blue October,
Linkin Park, Green Day, My Chemical Romance, and The Killers.
The six things I could never do without Propose an edit
I'll have to put what everyone else always puts here: friends and
family. When I'm not hanging with friends I need other ways to stay
entertained, so I'd have to say books, movies (of which I've build
a pretty big collection), and my other home entertainment. And
finally my car, have to get around somehow.
I spend a lot of time thinking about Propose an edit
The typical stuff like my life and the future. Most of the time
though I try and keep focused on the present.
On a typical Friday night I am Propose an edit
I'm typically hanging out with friends. If not that, just unwinding
from the week at home with a movie.
The most private thing I'm willing to admit here Propose an edit
I can be somewhat of a geek. I play video games and have both a PS3
and a Wii.
