My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Our battered suitcases were piled on the sidewalk again; we had longer ways to go. But no matter, the road is life.

This past year I was able to visit Germany, Switzerland, DC, and New York. This year I am doing Asheville, Mexico, Chicago, the Outer Banks, and Burning Man in Nevada.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Exploring with friends new and old.

Professionally I am a Business Analyst working on a system implementation - I like it a lot. I get to combine divergent areas of knowledge and interest into a role where I'm enabled to make sweeping changes to better a company that I think is doing some good things. I won't be there forever though. Contentment is not a sentiment I find comforting.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I cook often and love the chance to share that with friends. From dinner parties with paella and lamb tacos to Seafood boils in the backyard for 30 friends.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I am 6'7" which means yea - I'm really freaking tall.

I also have a somewhat unusual haircut and I'm into fashion that can range from well executed casual to occasionally more experimental styles. I've got a good eye and actually really enjoy shopping though I am often far too particular at this point to buy much of anything.

movies: akira kurosawa. alfred hitchcock. stanley kubrick. i am a huge movie fan. everything from tarantino to harry potter. as far as classics, i am a sucker for anything with humphrey bogart, cary grant, or jimmy stewart. i'm pretty much always in the mood for any of the following: 500 days of summer, american beauty, the big lebowski, boondock saints, cidade de deus, a clockwork orange, al laberinto del fauno, eyes wide shut, ferris bueller's day off, fight club, finding forrester, good will hunting, hackers, inglorious bastards, juno, knocked up, la fabuleux destin d'amelie poulain, the lion king, lolita, love actually, the matrix, nick and norah's infinite playlist, pineapple express, rounders, scott pilgrim vs the world, se7en, seven samurai, shawshank redemption, the shining, sin city, super troopers, up, v for vendetta.

music: i like music a lot. i was raised on stuff like aerosmith, acdc, montrose, megadeath, neil young, alice cooper, joan jett...generally awesome classic rock. throw in a little ozzy, white zombie, and corrosion of conformity. i still love that but i also have a fondness for 90's stuff from nirvana to sublime to rage against the machine. i love some black crowes, blues traveler, gov't mule (warren haynes is godly), and jurassic 5. my tastes are pretty varied. i'm also into girl talk, daft punk, mumford and sons, avett brothers, american aquarium, bassnectar, 2chellos, chatham county line, kate nash, sia, emily wells, justin robinson & the maryanettes, edward sharpe & the magnetic zeroes, delta rae. always open to suggestions.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
friends and family

if it comes down to it, i'm good with just that
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The next fun thing on the list. And when I pause, reflecting on the prior fun things I've done. I rarely pause for long.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Typical sounds terribly mundane. Some of the things I have done on recent Fridays: art galleries/museums, concerts, dinner and drinks with friends and family, bar hopping, traveling, and this one time recently I actually stayed in and called it an early night bc of Saturday plans. It was weird and I don't plan to do that again soon.
