I am wity, warm, and wanting wisdom..

My Self-Summary

I'm a well travelled, read and mannered optimistic realist, who's both been and seen many things. I've always had a desire to learn, to explore and it's only grown with each new experience.

I enjoy doing many things, but few more than a deep debate or discussion. It's a great way to get to know someone because you not only get to hear what another thinks, but how they deliver their thoughts, as well as how they receive another's. The way a person talks to you is a good indicator as to how they'll treat you in general.

The woman I seek has both confidence and openess, able to be assertive but not often feeling the need to. I'm a fairly easygoing guy but, I tend to react badly with pushy, loud or otherwise bor-ish people. Not to be confused with a healthy gregariousness, which I find really, really hot. Yes, that is a bit paradoxical isn't it.

The first things people usually notice about me

I've been told I can on occasion look a little like a thug. I'm not though...really.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Like everyone else I'd give myself carpal tunnel if I tried to type everything that should go in this box.

I think books are quite possibly man's greatest achievement. I've read hundreds of them, to say nothing of various magazines, papers and billboards on the backs of the prophets at Bathurst and Queen. Did you know 'they' are trying to have us all chipped so 'they' can control us? No, really. I read it somewhere. Books are, to me, sources of inspiration, wisdom and knowledge.

I work in the film industry so anything to do with movies brings out some passion. I do have genres that I like more than others. Some action and/or suspense is definitely required along with strong dialogue, which is where many movies fail, in my humble opinion. Immersing yourself in a well crafted film is the next best thing to losing yourself in a great book.

I listen to music for most of the day and will listen to almost anything. I enjoy foreign music in strange languages because it reduces the voice to a pure instrument. Without understanding all you're left with is the sound and emotion of the artists voice. I also love jazz and ska.

I don't often eat meals, eating is a means to an end, I guess you could say I'm a bit of a utilitarian. Unless it's sushi, good fish'n'chips or Montreal smoked meat sandwich. I do enjoy cooking when it's a social thing, I just don't cook for one very often.
