My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm here looking for the geek of my dreams.

People often ask, "What's your hobby?" I would say pursuing happiness is my hobby. Some of the things I enjoy: Geeking out about the universe, technology, coding, video games, comics and other artsy-craftsy things; talking with my family (they're the best); the internet (in general); riding my bike through the city; cooking; attempting to be semi-fashionable.

I'd like to do more of these things with someone else, so if you'd like to go exploring, or stay in and, say, help me dust off the MTG cards that have been sitting around my apartment, we need to talk.

Oh, and if you think this is romantic, we might work:

(The good part's at about 2:30, bee tee dubs)

I am patient with others, but impatient with myself.

One-on-one, I can hold a conversation like nobody's business.

The best thing I could hope for in a relationship/friendship is that we learn from each other. I believe that love, in any form, is one of life's greatest teachers. And yes, love is what I seek.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Learning how to be grateful for all that I do have instead of wishing for all that I don't.

Spending more time doing things that make me happy than I spend doing things that are just bland and dull. Also easier said than done.

More recently, I've been making new friends.

As for work, I am a copywriter in advertising. It's an exciting career and has provided me with a comfortable life, but I became about 1000% happier once I realized that my work does not define me - thank goodness.

Mostly I just make sure I keep my side of the street clean.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Cuddling. It's my favorite.

And origami. Seriously, I can make your favorite dinosaur out of Origami. Try me.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
That I exist.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

BOOKS:
Blankets by Craig Thompson is my new favorite. In a past life, the Fountainhead by Ayn Rand had a profound impact on me, but I'm slowly distancing myself from what it taught me.

Call me a horny soccer mom, but I actually liked the 50 shades books (yes, I realize the writing was terrible.) Also, Paper Towns and World War Z.

MOVIES:
As for some insight into my taste in film, I think Lester Burnham, with all his shortcomings, pretty much solved life. I also got all emo during the rocket launch scene from Apollo 13 and I'm okay with that.

The theme song from True Romance pretty much sums up what I want my next relationship to feel like: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aI4iCx7LnbY

Um, I love Moulin Rouge. Actually, I love musicals in general.

MUSIC:
The National. Gareth Emery. Chicane. Armin Van Buuren. Flight of the Concords. Tegan and Sarah. Glitch Mob. Avicii's latest album blew my mind. Of a Revolution's stuff from the early 2000s. Tom Petty. Billy Joel. Imagine Dragons. Weezer. Lots of others.

TV:
The Killing. House of Cards. Orange Is the New Black. Lost. Cosmos. The Walking Dead. Glee.

GAMES:
Skyrim. Metal Gear Solid (the original). Guild Wars 2. FFX. FFVII. Assassin's Creed II. Batman: Arkham Assylum. Uncharted 2. The Last of Us. Bioshock Infinite. Almost every Tomb Raider game. The Swapper. Antichamber. Resident Evil 2. Super Metroid. Metroid Prime. Soul Calibur. Mario Kart (all of them). Diablo. League of Legends. The list goes on.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Gratitude
Other humans
Creativity
Optimism
An internet connection
Video games (If you understand this, you are a badass in my book)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The universe. I mean, how does all this crap just work?

And this: Did you know that if you were to remove all the empty space from all the atoms in all the humans on earth, their (our?) matter would fit into a box the size of an apple? It's true.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Taking it nice and easy after a long week. Most of my out-of-the-house time is spent on Saturday and/or Sunday.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
