I'm very proud to be "from New Orleans". I'm not from here originally, BUT...over the past 6 years I have felt very welcomed. I feel like I belong here. It's not where I need to be. It's where I WANT to be. If you know what I mean.

I'm a big Saints fan. Season ticket holder and hoping for another phenomenal year, and was here for some monumental Saints events. The 2006 re-opening of the Superdome, the game that took us to the Superbowl and was at the Buddy D's Broads event. If you don't know what that means, I'm sorry and who dat.

Friendships are very important to me. My close friends are truly important in my life. They keep me emotionally correct. If you know what I mean. I couldn't survive without them.

Right now work seems to be the major part of my day but looking for fun things to balance that out. I recently pass on the editor duty of our local newspaper so I need to fill that vacuum. Maybe volunteer at a local museum or gallery.

I'm good at dealing with other people. Not in a good or bad way, but just dealing. And understanding where they're coming from, and trying to get to what they're trying to say. I'm also good at sifting out what you're trying to say as opposed to what you're meaning to say. Doesn't always work out but I give it my best.

I'm Tom and I'm awesome (pronounced "owsome") Done and done.

Books:The Stand, because it was such a journey. Dilbert books. Not the comics, but they wrote a few books on office life and I could relate. I just started re-reading The Road which is horribly depressing but a must read.

Movies: 1968 as a major influence to my life, Trey Parker films (Cannibal the Musical, Orgasimo, Team America). On the more strange side the Story of Rickey. If you know it, you know it.

Shows: Growing up my favorite show was Thunderbirds. More recently, Six Feet Under,

Music: Fastball: The Way. Blue Man Group. The Might Be Giants is kinda cool. Johhny Cash is AWESOME! Weezer's very cool. Pink Floyd.

Sushi is awesome. Never say no to sushi dinner. Ethnic anything wins. Byblos double points. Just discovered grilled oysters. YUM. So food, pretty much anything but not vegan or strictly veggie.

The first thing I could never do without are my friends, they are very important to me. Family as well. Photos (the images of people I care about). Music. Good wine. That's where I'm at right now.

I do spend a lot of time thinking about where I want to go with my life, what I want to do long term. So far still thinking.

My Friday night is sometimes at home being me, or out with people enjoying life.
