My favorite times tend to be pretty low key, whether it's grilling on rooftops in Brooklyn, lazily lounging at one of the Queens' river parks, watching the game with friends, dinner parties with a bottle or two of wine, or just a typical night out at the bar for a few drinks.
Trying new restaurants, visiting favorite haunts, and trying to find anything that compares to Magnolia's Banana Pudding. I'm not even that big of a pudding fan but my god that stuff is so good it should be illegal.
For work, I'm a research analyst for a large consumer insights company. I'm pretty good at excel. That probably should have been my most private thing willing to admit...
Also cooking. I'm always trying to find new recipes to cook. Fire up the grill, start the smoker, throw it in the oven, whatever the medium - I do it. Fancy stuff like lamb in a cherry reduction sauce to the simply delicious midwestern foods I grew up with.
Except baking, I am horrible at baking. Even screw up my mom's banana bread recipe. Convinced there is some magic involved to get the crumbs on top of it.
