I'm an NYC native, amateur musician (guitar/singing), Art lover, and I bike 200-400 miles a month (rain, shine, heat, or frost). I enjoy endurance cycling, my longest ride being 109.3 miles. I'm an endorphin/cardio addict. I also love live music and rarely miss my favorite bands when they play in Manhattan or the surrounding area.

My sense of humor was honed by 5 wise cracking dirty joke telling politically incorrect uncles from Queens, Mel Brooks, Monty Python, and George Carlin.

If you find the level of honesty in the next paragraph off putting, we will not get along. I thrive on meta communication, and healthy doses of expression. If I befriend someone, whether I sleep with them or not, I will truly care for that person. So instead of putting on airs, acting as if I want a relationship just to sleep with as many women as possible (which is what I'm sure many guys here do), I have laid my intentions out in plain English.

***Not looking for my soulmate, or anything implicitly long term (I have just ended a LTR, January 2013), for the foreseeable future. If I make a friend, great, if I make a FWB, even better. Only under ideal conditions would I consider another purely monogamous LTR.***

I am self employed, and make my own hours. I have plenty of time for entertainment, hobbies, travel, and sharing awesomeness with people, and the universe. Planning my next educational goal. Exploring the limits of my city/body on a bicycle, and sometimes recording the experience. Last December I rode 225 miles in the Netherlands and Germany in the course of 3 weeks. Practicing guitar/singing. Playing at open mic nights.

Conversation. Making friends. Inspiring people. Long distance cycling. Swimming (used to Boogie Board but it's been years), Nintendo/video games. When it comes to the Arts I'm a jack of all trades. Picking awesome media/art. Discovering my lover's needs, and finding out how to satisfy them. I balk to say I'm SO good at these but... Photography, singing, and guitar.

Writing those long messages the ladies say they prefer, without eliciting a response.

Food: Not too spicy. No stinky curry. No sushi. I don't mind when anyone else eats those things, but I do mind being told I'm closed minded, or not adventurous with food. I'm an NYC native, I've tried a lot of different foods, and I know what I like. I'm not sure what this "kale" is you all speak of. I try to eat healthy, but I know I don't. I know far too many good restaurants filled with delicious things that are not healthy, and I'm capable of cooking similarly delicious yet not exactly always the most healthy fare....

Art/music, sex, cycling, why sophisticated rhythm is somehow taboo outside of Jazz, the human condition....

Doing anything from relaxing at home, to spending time with family and friends, to going to concerts, to visiting different favorite neighborhoods/locations in my city. I am not a huge fan of the regular bar scene (but I love live music), sorta the reason I'm here, huh?

If I'm willing to admit something, it's really not private at all, is it?

I was 70 pounds heavier, and then I met "Ethel," my bike.

Now I'm very strong, and only getting stronger.

This isn't really a secret but, apparently even friends I have known for a long time don't know that I am related to creative people of great notoriety and success in, poetry/literature, painting, and television. If a related subject somehow doesn't come up organically, I may never mention it. I prefer making friends, and earning things on my own merit.
