My self-summary
I'm a native New Yorker though I spent a good part of my adult life out of New York. I've lived in Miami, San Diego, and Seattle. I also lived in South America for a while (Colombia and Uruguay). I guess I had to go all over the Western Hemisphere to realize how much I love New York. I've been back home in Manhattan since January 2012.

I'm easy going, empathetic, active, polite, considerate, respectful, and intelligent. Politically I'm liberal and progressive. I try to keep drama to a minimum. I have a positive outlook on life and try to find the good in everything.

I take care of myself — I work out three times a week with an awesome group of people doing body-weight exercises. I've started commuting on Citi Bike and I'm loving it. In August 2012 I started walking every block of every street in Manhattan. I figure I'll be done by the end of 2015. This February I ran a 5k in Miami, though I'm not much of a runner. This May I did The Great Saunter, a 32-mile walk around the perimeter of Manhattan. I love staying active.

My motivation for working out and staying active is to be healthy, feel great and enjoy myself. I'm not trying to build bulging biceps, six-pack abs, or get down to 11% body fat. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against guys with lean, muscular bodies, it's just that that's not how I'd describe myself.

All of my photos are from spring and summer 2013.
What I’m doing with my life
I had a successful career in information technology before dropping out of the workforce for three years starting in 2009 to get a degree in computer science. I graduated in 2011. Since then I've been working as a software engineer building iPhone and iPad apps. Sometimes I feel guilty getting paid for doing something that is so much fun!

My last relationship ended shortly before I returned to school. I've intentionally stayed single while I concentrated on my education and career. Now that I'm more settled in my new life I'm ready to start dating again.
The first things people usually notice about me
My blue eyes and my laid back self confidence.
