My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a regular gym-goer, I enjoy the outdoors and I'm interested in doing more hiking, tramping and geocaching. I'm also interested in travelling, but it isn't much fun by myself, so I'm keen to meet someone who wants to share some international adventures!

I'm also a bit of a geek - I work in IT and I enjoy playing video or board games or reading the internet. I enjoy movies and TV of pretty much all kinds. I enjoy intelligent conversation with intelligent people, and goofing around with goofy people. Often these are the same people.

I'm also looking for someone who likes to explore Wellington, especially the food scene. A perfect night out for me is a nice dinner (at the new hotness or an old favorite) followed by a movie or show. Or anything involving margaritas.

I'm looking for a committed, long-term relationship, but that doesn't mean things have to be super serious from day one. Start by just having a fun time together, then see what develops.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I work in IT as a software developer in the financial sector. My hobbies including gaming (all kinds - video, role-playing, board, card), watching films, and exploring Wellington's food scene.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Picking up new things. Remembering trivial information. Understanding both sides of an argument. Remembering the names of those actors where everyone goes 'hey it's that guy/girl!'.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My hair (yes, it's naturally that colour. and yes, more people ask that than you'd think).
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books - I'm not a huge fiction reader, but I like sci-fi/fantasy mostly, along with 'airport' fiction like Lee Child et al.

Movies - I'm a movie nut, I'll watch pretty much anything. I love smart blockbusters; The Dark Knight is probably my favorite Hollywood film. But I also dig indie films (when they aren't too pretentious). Anything with good writing and good acting is a must-watch for me regardless of the subject matter.

Shows (going to assume this means TV rather than Broadway ;) - Like movies, I watch and enjoy a wide range of TV. Recent favorites include Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, Battlestar Galactica, Homeland, Archer, Fringe, and heaps more. At the moment I am binging through Arrow, which is suprisingly good, though silly at times.

Music - I like anything with a good beat to it and some depth. NIN, Tool, Skrillex, Daft Punk, Beastie Boys, and more traditional stuff like Radiohead, U2, Led Zeppelin, Dire Straits, the list goes on.

Food - I will try anything once, and there isn't much I don't like (though I'm not a huge fan of seafood, generally speaking). Some favorites: pasta, curries, pretty much any Asian cuisine (especially Japanese and Thai). Also love to tuck into a burger and fries every now and then.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
The Internet, hot showers, games, movies, wine, conversation.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Everything! I always want to know more about whatever I'm doing or plan to be doing. Knowledge is power. I spend a lot of time online just reading about all kinds of things, even things that aren't remotely relevant to my day-to-day life.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Having a drink with my workmates then either catching up with friends, or having a quiet night in watching TV shows or playing video games.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I talk to myself a lot. I'm not crazy though, honest!
