My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I’m a decade-long NYC resident with a laundry list of hole-in-the-wall restaurants and dive bars. More Brooklyn than Manhattan. I’m originally from New Jersey.

If you’re looking for the best cheeseburger in the city, I’m your guy.

Judging by the rest of this site, I'm supposed to use this space to talk about how much I love to travel. I do, traveling's all kinds of fun, but I don't have a bunch of meaningful pictures of my journey to Thailand.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I’m a filmmaker, a photographer, a teacher, a tour guide, and a grad student. Some of those things are actual jobs. I always seem to have more than one job, it’s kinda my thing. In the past I’ve been a touring theater tech, a designer, a shopkeeper, a marketing executive, and, one memorable afternoon, a carny.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I make people laugh over drinks.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I talk to strangers.

Food: Trying to hold to the "new for '12" motif is leaving me a little short here... so I'm gonna go with the little mini poptarts at Starbucks
2013: Raw Food Restaurants
2014: Finally having my own kitchen (apartment)
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Good pens, paper, strong coffee, conversation, time to think, and good friends who come through in a pinch.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Storytelling. Really. I'm constantly in my head, working out plots, characters, dialogue.

And, hot dogs. Crif dogs usually.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
In a decent, dark bar, not to loud to talk, with friends sitting around a solid wooden table.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Once I climbed/fell over an 8 foot gate somewhere downtown to check out a sculpture garden my friend insisted was on the other side. As it turns out, I tumbled into a church trash area. Thankfully, I climb quickly.

You tell jokes. Some are terrible. You don't care.

Bonus points for glasses.
