My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I just moved to Amherst, MA after a year and a half in portland, OR. Portland was awesome, and I'll be around the 413 for a little while, before its time to move yet again

Just talk to me

"Caelum videre iussit, et erectos ad sidera tollere vultus."
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I have no idea. I don't think ever asking a question like that is beneficial. No one knows. Things change within a second.. Why bother narrowing it to one thing? But okay.

I moved to Portland to give myself a new area to write in. I also moved here with thoughts of starting a nonprofit, which was to be started back home, but I moved. So I'll tweak it a bit, and find a way to make an improvement on someone(s) life.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Going to someone's house and making myself at home. I write fairly well, and I suppose you could say I'm good at reading. I do both a lot. I'm awesome at doing my own thing, even when I'm out with friends or at a party. I'm good at cheering people up when they're sad or depressed
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I don't know. I use sarcasm rather well. And I'm nervous around new folks. I'm always talking to new people, and forgetting names within minutes(but not those beautiful faces).
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Books- UPDATE!-- So I just went to powells for the first time ever. Holy. Crap. Amazing place. Picked up three books. Including my first ever Vonnegut (SH-5). Amazing. Changed my mind all around. I read all the time. I tend to read a wide range of books, though my favorite genre would be fantasy. Fell in love with magic and dragons, knights with good values, and evil being overthrown. That said, I'm currently reading two books not at all fantasy. "The Universe in a Single Atom"- by the Dalai Lama and "Through Painted Deserts"- by Donald Miller. Anyone that drove and landed in Portland, Oregon should read the second book, and whether or not you are religious or enjoy science, the Dalai Lama has written some great work.

Movies: I don't really have a type I enjoy more than others. I watch a lot of documentaries. I also tend to watch movies that have received a lot of attention. Lots of English subbed movies.

Shows: Game of thrones, The walking dead, Deadliest Catch, and things like Planet Earth.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Six things, eh? Welp.. I'd probably waste a few on things that I, quite literally, can not live without. But that sounds boring. So, in no particular order (even though its a list) I'll jot down six things.

1. Music. I'm constantly listening to something. All kinds.
2. Nature. Be it walks, backpacking for a couple weeks, a long bike ride, or anything else, I love being around nature.
3. Good people and friends. It's always awesome to have people to chill out with. Ones that you vibe with on some level.
4. Goals. I'm very goal oriented. I set short, medium, and long term goals for myself.
5. Dope food. Love to try new foods from everywhere. I like trying to guess what's in things and try to cook up unique dishes.
6. Beautiful nights. I'm such a night person. I love quiet nights out exploring or delving into my brain and being. Seeing what I find in another person.

Yup. Those six will do.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I spend a lot of time thinking about life. All parts. How I came to be. What I'm doing. The smallness of each of us, and the grandness of each action we make that sends off huge ripples through time. A smile to the right person that changed the world.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Well typical for back home would be enjoying a fire with a ton of my good friends. Going out dancing and to bars. Out driving to no certain destination.

Since coming here, not much. Trying to furnish our place, find work, write, read, and all that good stuff about setting up a new house.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I was a boyscout. And I'm Jewish. And Irish-Catholic. And chose to invest in the Bahai faith. I write notes on fantasy book(s). I enjoy smoking pot when I feel like it. Which isn't very often, but often enough for me.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You'd like to talk about anything. Ever. Any thought. Inform me of anything. If you know any cool areas to explore, grab a coffee, a good beer or drink, or I should try eating at.

If you like taking rides and listening to music. Or talking about nothing and everything.
