My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a queer identified, trans chick with a preference for female pronouns (she, her), though "they/them" also work for me. If you have a problem with any of that, seriously reconsider talking to me, and if you do, choose your words carefully.

In my film program at my liberal arts college, I am the weird, kinky, non-monogamous queer by both reputation and practice. I wear this like a badge of honor. I feel like this speaks to my personality.

I'm very big into radical consent, which for me manifests outside of sex as well during. If I bring up a topic that I think is even a little bit personal ("oh, you're an artist/writer? I'd love to see your work sometime?" "Does that tattoo have any meaning behind it?"), I will immediately follow it up with "if that's okay to ask" or "if that's not being too forward."
Of course, it does manifest in deeper situations as well, and I'd much rather be over-conscious about consent than anywhere near unaware of it, so I don't have any plans or desires to try and change this about myself.

I'm also a bit of nerd when it comes to film, music, law, and a few other random topics that I've learned about in my time. Looking to meet anyone really, and just interested in seeing what's out there.

So here's the current deal: I could really use some more friends in this city, so if anyone wants to have some no pressure/expectations hanging out, all the better, let's do a friend date and go see a film or a show or get drinks and bond or something. Looking for an "activity partner," you could say.

Catch you on the net then.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm currently in a graduate program for film. I want to be an editor, director, and writer, in that order (more-or-less - sometimes director and editor switch).

In more personal stuff, I generally spend my time meeting up with friends for some fun nights of films, music, and what have you.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Making movies, and I like to think I'm still pretty decent with a drum kit.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
"Woah, your hair looks great today!"
"Thanks, I just took my helmet off."
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: Time Enough for Love (Robert Heinlein), Stone Butch Blues (Leslie Feinberg), The Feminist Porn Book (various authors), The Millenium Trilogy (Steig Larson), Rubyfruit Jungle (Rita Mae Brown), Genderqueer (various authors), Scar Tissue (Anthony Kiedis), The Jack Daniels series (J. A. Konrath), and a few more.

Movies: So many. Perks of Being a Wallflower (Stephen Chbosky), Everything in the View Askewniverse (by Kevin Smith), Taxi Driver (Martin Scorsese), The Dark Knight (Christopher Nolan), Elephant (Gus Van Sant) Gus Van Sant's "Last Days," Shades of Gray (Jesse Cowell), Paprika (Satoshi Kon), Once (John Carney), and the Original Star Wars trilogy just to name a few.

Shows: I tend to shot gun one particular show while watching others. I just finished devouring all of Doctor Who and Lost Girl that was on Netflix. Other shows I do or have enjoyed (and have blazed through in the recent to not-so-recent past) are How I Met Your Mother, Criminal Minds (all things being equal, Reid is fucking sexy), House, The L Word, Fringe, Gundam Wing, Angel, Buffy, Stargate: SG1, Sailor Moon

Music: Dream Theater, Team Dresch (you can never play "The Council" loud enough in my presence), Tribe 8, L7, Alice in Chains, Nirvana, Stone Temple Pilots, Rush, Metallica, Led Zeppelin, Opeth, David Bowie, Porcupine Tree, Elton John, Gang of Creeps, Outhouse, Trocadero, Death Cab for Cutie, Tegan and Sara (of course), Chris Purkea ...somewhat eclectic with my music tastes (though grunge and prog are good genres that I love almost everything in).

Food: All kinds, and always looking to try new stuff.

I should also mention here that I find video games can be just as fulfilling as any other type of art, and some of my favorites include: The Assassin's Creed saga (especially Assassin's Creed II), The Halo franchise, Fallout 3, Grand Theft Auto 4, Indigo Prophecy, Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker, Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Goldeneye, the Metal Gear series, and the Portal series.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1.) Friends - Without whom I wouldn't be here today. Easily at the top of the list.

2.) Artistic expression - it keeps me going and happy.

3.) Good food - if done right, food is its own art form.

4.) My drums - fantastic way to blow off some extra energy.

5.) Sleep - relaxing and useful for passing up the small hours.

6.) Those quiet nights, after a long project is finally done, when you look at your work, pour out a nice glass of scotch, and give yourself the tiniest pat on the back before you pick yourself up again and move on to the next project. Those moments are magic.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
These days? Basically the next project, and what I can do to unwind. But I'm all for actually talking about nearly anything else.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Flagging red on the left.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I occasionally find myself legitimately sad that Team Dresch only has two albums.

Also, I don't give a FUCK what anyone else says: Metallica is still one of my favorite bands ever.

-You're queer. Just really what I'm into, and it's always great to meet and talk to some fellow queers.

-You like piña coladas, getting caught in the rain.

-You'd like to jam with me or talk music sometime.

- Especially if you're into doing this with some metal and/or prog albums.

-You like making love at midnight in the dunes of the cape

-You wouldn't mind listening to someone talk about movies after going to see one.

-You like the idea of bonding over a drink and a viewing of some cool cinema or queer, feminist porn.

-You are (or are dramatically similar too) Dr. Spencer Reid and/or Matthew Gray Gubler. Conversely, if you also think that Reid is dreamy.

-Then I'm the love that you've looked for, write to me and escape.
