My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Who am I? That seems to be the question I'm supposed to answer here, I guess. I have no idea of my place in the world (except as an attachment to a computer). I'm generally liberal, but I tend to think for myself more often than that, and don't always agree with the general line. I'm an anime fan, I play RPGs, and video games (computer and console). I also enjoy reading, learning about a variety of topics, listening to and playing a range of music and musical styles, and playing various board, card and miniatures games.

I am nerdy, humorous, and tender.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm working at a web hosting company, doing programming work.

I'm also slowly working on getting my pilot's license.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I can program pretty well. I'm a fairly decent gamer (I suck at video games, but that's what cheat codes are for). I'm a marginal writer, at least, I think so. I do RPGs, at which I am decent, but not great. I suppose I'm not "really good" at anything, but I can do a lot of different things fairly well.

Oh, languages, I'm decent at languages.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I look a bit like Grizzly Adams. I have somewhat long-ish hair, that's never really tame, and a scruffly beard, sometimes.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Far too many to list here. Babylon 5, Doctor Who, most anime, the Honor Harrington series, the Dresden Files, anything by Terry Pratchett or Neil Gaiman (or both), Star Wars, Star Trek, RPGs, Red Dwarf, World War Z, AFMBE (if you really wanna know, ask), the Malazan Book of the Fallen series, the Song of Ice and Fire, Paranoia, Equilibrium (one of the best movies ever made, but I'm a sucker for any martial art involving firearms). Oh, I've completely skipped food. Sushi. Ducky like sushi. Umm, meat, I like meat. And bread. Milk's good, too. I'm really not picky. Don't you just love stream of conciousness answers? Umm, music...wow, that's a hard one. I especially prefer things in other languages, especially when I can understand them, because it gives me a juvenile thrill to translate things for other people. There's very few specific genres of music I dislike. Pretty much anything, really. I dislike specific songs and bands more often than I dislike genres. My answer to this used to be "anything but rap and country" and then I heard Eminem, who is absolutely hilarious (at least his early stuff), and there goes rap. Then I heard...umm...I can't think of the name right now, but I know there's some country I don't hate. Oh, and Code Monkey, by Jonathan Coulton, if you ever want to know what I am, listen to that song (I don't like Mountain Dew (it gives me a headache), and Fritos are only okay, but other than that its right, and I mean scary right).
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
So, having thought about this question, I'm thinking they don't mean survival stuff. What I could "never" live without would be a net connection, my friends, a few video games, writing supplies, music, some movies.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Generally, my future. How life will work out, what's coming up next on the great trek, and other analogies.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
In front of my computer, or watching TV.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I literally have no shame. Well, no, that's not true. I have shame, but there's very little I'm not willing to admit. If anyone wants me to put anything here, feel free to ask. And I probably will.
