2001: A Space Odyssey, Children of Hurin, Flatland, Brave New World, and The Killer Angels. I'd like to read more historical fiction and non-fiction, autobiographies, fantasy, sci-fi, gender studies, and books about the nutritional side of veganism.

My favorite writer/director is Stanley Kubrick, so all of his films top my list. I also love Little Miss Sunshine, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, The Karate Kid, The Day the Earth Stood Still, Back to the Future, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Pulp Fiction, and This is Spinal Tap.

Some of my favorite musicians include Against Me!, Bane, Simon and Garfunkel, Strike Anywhere, Pete Seeger, David Bowie, Jim Croce, Ruiner, Marvin Gaye, Otis Redding, Etta James... tons of bands and artists.

The only television shows I have really enjoyed have been Freaks and Geeks, Arrested Development, Lost, Breaking Bad, Mr. Show, and Seinfeld.
