My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hey! My name is Marie, and I'm looking for someone to be my friend. Because more than anything I want to fall in love with my best friend. This is hard as I am infuriatingly shy.

I'm shy, so I never get out! This also means I spend a lot of my time reading; I'll read any genre, any style, but I get distracted by new stories before I finish the one I was reading in the first place. :/
Once I get to liking a person, though, and stop feeling self-conscious, I love to joke around. My favorite way to get to know someone is through discussion and sharing interests. I like to know what my friends and loved ones like, they interest me.

I still live with my family, and I'm not really planning to change that soon, but I hate being clingy... So we'll see. :/
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Helping to take care of my Mom, she almost died a little while back, and is undergoing the long task of rehabilitation. I'm hoping to get a part time job soon, just to help out, but I really need to focus on keeping everything in order at home.
I’m really good at

I love David Brin's stories, I own a couple collections. I love most classic literature, and in fact learned how to read with The Count of Monte Cristo and The Lord of the Rings. I also love mysterys. And comic books, which ties in nicely with movies I like, too. And who doesn't like John Hughes? I like to laugh, so I watch a lot of Seth Macfarlane, and I don't feel bad about that at all. It has to be a pretty bad song for me to not enjoy it a little, but I'm partial plain old rock and roll. My favorite food is fried catfish.

I was home schooled, which is the origin of my social awkwardness. Isolated, self educated... Self medicated. I should write a book, and then drink myself to death. That sounds like a life plan.

Well, if you're not afraid of no response for months, possibly never. I wasn't kidding about that shy thing. If you're persistent, though, you have a much greater chance of getting me to talk, and then I can't shut up. Friends and family can attest!
