My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.

My name is Nancy, I live in Nicholasville and work in Lexington. I lived most of my life around Chicago but I'm glad I moved here.

I am a great cook, friendly and down to earth. I'd rather meet you and see what gives in person, since it is too hard to get to know someone online. Don't write yourself out, I can give you a try.

I love to play games, not messing with people's minds, but like Backgammon or Scrabble or lesser known stuff like Dominion.

I also meditate every day. It keeps me sane.
What I’m doing with my life

Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Baking bread.

The first things people usually notice about me

My beautiful brown eyes.

Or maybe that I look younger than I am.

My new favorite book is Seth Speaks by Jane Roberts. I wish I could find some people who have read it and tried some of the things in it. Like Biphasic sleep, or expanding your consciousness. I read it four times now.

I have read lots of fiction in my life, some favorite authors have been Orson Scott Card, H.P. Lovecraft, Dan Harris, Kurt Vonnegut, Nancy Kress, L Ron Hubbard (old funny sci-fi). I'm just more into non fiction these days.

My favorite movies are more likely to be independent. Or maybe they are just wickedly funny, as in Monty Python and the Holy Grail. I must admit, most people have seen way more movies than I have seen.

As for TV, I haven't been watching much. I get Netflix on DVD and right now watch an episode a day of something eating breakfast. Watchng Dr Katz Professional Therapist these days, man is that funny, do you remember that old Comedy Central Cartoon?

I love music. I download "this and that" radio from to find new stuff. Right now I stuffed a lot of metal and industrial on my "socially acceptable list" which would be full of classic rock, psychedelic music.., R&B and funk, now I just have to figure out where post-punk fits in.

I just made a new playlist so I can listen to some of my favorite 90's metal. Atmospheric doomy stuff is the focus, so some other great stuff was left off of this playlist. On it are Beherit, Belmez, Cemetery of Scream, Deinonychus, Dissolving of Prodigy, Einherjer, Gehenna, Graveland, In Slaughter Natives, In the Woods, Katatonia, Martyrium, Misanthrope, Old Man’s Child, On Thorns I Lay, Paradigma, Paradise Lost, Saturnus, Sear Bliss, Septic Flesh, Shadowseeds, Tiamat, Tristitia and Varathron. Yes, Cemetary is the proper spelling of that word but I spelled it the way the band spelled it. It was really Saturnus that started the idea and I am downloading Saturnus radio from now to see if I can add more to it.
Bonus points if you know any of these bands, and also if you are interested enough to ask me to share some of it with you via google drive or something.

As for food, I am a great cook and I like to eat a variety of food. I eat a lot of sprouts lately too, so gotta keep up with delicious salad dressings so I don't get tired of it. Still, I'm not a health nut, every day I bring sprouts, meat to eat for lunch, but for dinner, sometimes sandwiches. Eating more beef lately for the iron.

Home alone, unless it's movie night somewhere, usually just the first Friday of the month. I would sure like to change this.

I think it's great that the internet will let us meet people we'd likely not meet otherwise, but then, it's a really hard way to get to KNOW someone. So I hope we don't take too long to meet somewhere and talk and get to know each other in person.
