My self-summary
Born in Calgary, spent my teens in Sarnia and moved to Toronto in 2004. I'm a bona fide city guy, having lived downtown since I moved here. I can't imagine living anywhere else.

Grew up around my 3 brothers, fending for myself for the most part. I was a lot to handle for my parents, but learned a lot of good lessons the hard way. This gave me street smarts very early on in life.

On the other hand I had been exposed to computers at an early age and took to it quickly. I think I wrote my first program when I was 11 years old. Programming was a constant right into my professional career.

I picked up a guitar at around age 10 and taught myself how to play every single song in an Eagles tab book. Ever since I've been heavily influenced by music, having played in numerous punk rock, pop rock, and cover bands, and more recently DJing and producing deep/tech house. I can listen and appreciate just about any genre of music out there, even country.
What I’m doing with my life
By day I work as a project manager at an IT company in an interactive-focused department. Essentially I help very large clients around the GTA (banks, insurance, healthcare, etc) strategize, design, build and maintain websites and internet-based applications. (if you actually read all that I'll be impressed) Since I spent so much time programming earlier in my life and career, I tend to focus on the nerdy elements of project management (technical stuff).

Outside of work I focus a lot of my time on producing music, mostly underground house. Ever since I moved to Toronto in 2004 I've been 'taken' by electronic music. Only recently though has my production and DJing actually started to take off, having released my first record in the summer (2012) and having played my first international gig in December (2012) in the UK.

Filling the time between is fitness, everything from spinning to boxing. I feel strongly that physical fitness should be a fundamental part of everyone's life. We all need it to be happy and healthy.

Recently I've realized how good life gets around age 30. It appears to 'age like wine' as they say. :)

I also:

- play golf, but can't break 100
- go to clubs a couple times a month (not including my gigs)
- travel to the Caribbean-area regularly
- love a good brunch, and back to bed directly after
- have no issues with spending money for a good time with friends

I am fairly confident I'm a catch; I have a great career, good head on my shoulders and have lots of smarts from both the street and professionally. I'm looking for people that complement my positive outlook on life.

If you fit the bill, I'm looking forward to hearing from you!
