Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm silly and intellectual. I'm artsy and scientific. I'm
self-conscious and overconfident. I'm a nerd and...OK I'm just a
nerd. But I'm me, and I love it.
I'm quite the contradiction, and fully understanding myself has
been a work in progress for the last, oh, 25 years or so. I'm an
engineer, which makes me a man of science, math, logic and reason.
That's always been a big part of who I am, even before any college
classes or work experience. Yet I have always had a love for the
artistic and the esoteric. My profession may be science, but my
hobbies are mostly comprised of music, theater, and
Upon rereading, I realized this section sounds extremely
pretentious. Unfortunately, I can't think of many better ways to
put it, so it stays as is.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I spent the last year or so working in Nebraska at a job I didn't
care for, so I went and got a brand new one back in my home town of
St. Louis (both positions in engineering). I enjoy going out (and I
live downtown so that part's easy), but I also love just staying in
and watching movies, playing games, whatever. Also doing my best to
exercise more; I play racquetball four days a week after work, and
I'm currently working on the "Couch to 5K" program.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm kind of a jack-of-all-trades type, which includes the "master
of none" part. So I'll say I'm pretty good at:
casual sports (except baseball. For some reason, I've always sucked
I AM really good at finding the bright side of things. Every cloud
has a silver lining, and all that.
Also I can find humor in just about every situation. If I can't
make you at least smile at any time, I will have failed at life.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have no idea, honestly. I'm pretty laid back, and I think I come
across that way, but "laid back" isn't exactly and stand-out trait.

the past. It's a bad habit, and one I'm slowly starting to break.
Also the immediate future, which is another habit I'm not too fond
of. I'm trying to live more in the present, but it's tough.

I usually try to use the time to hang out with my friends.
Sometimes that means a party or a bar, but most often it just means

The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
This question seems like a contradiction. If I admit something
private on a public profile, it ceases to be private.
