My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
My name is Natalie and I'm a freelance artist. I also train in the Brazilian martial art Capoeira. My friends are the family I got to choose and are really important to me.

I'm always open to making new friends, but hopefully I can find someone to start a relationship with. I like to keep dating relaxed at first, and I don't set a timeline or worry about moving too fast or too slow. When I commit to someone, friend or partner, I am very loyal and supportive and will do my best to be there for them when they need me. If you want me to have your back and you'd like to watch mine, let's see where things go.

I'm believe that every relationship can be beautiful and enriching if they happen at the right time with the right person. I would love to find someone to fall in love with, but I think shorter more casual relationships can help people grow and learn more about themselves too. As long as communication stays open and honest, I don't like to assign limits or labels.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Creating artwork, training in capoeira, singing in the car, and dancing through the night~

Check out my website to see some of my paintings. --> www.nataliebeckerart.com

I also like yoga, writing (fiction), philosophical conversations, listening to audiobooks, cooking, taking walks, traveling, exploring cities, making costumes, and playing with makeup and face painting.

I just started learning guitar and would love lessons/help/pointers if anyone is willing :)

I like trying new activities, because yay adventure! If you want to go rock-climbing, horseback riding, kayaking, or something else that I haven't done often, (or at all) let's go!

I'm trying to live a healthy lifestyle via diet, exercise, mindfulness, positive sex, etc., and making sure I have positive people in my life.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Painting and drawing, and non-professionally, singing and writing. I've also received my black belt equivalent rank, so I guess that makes me pretty good at the martial art I practice, but I still want to get a lot better.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My hair is pretty curly, I love colorful clothes, (and scarves!) I'm tall and slim, and I usually have a sketchbook with me. I've been told I have pretty eyes by a few people.

I still think this is a weird question...
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I'm very interested in health and nutrition, and I like a lot of vegetarian and vegan recipes. I also like Indian, Thai, Sushi, Cajun, Italian, and Ethiopian, to name a few specific areas of cuisine.

I generally prefer fantasy and sci-fi, (things with adventure and an interesting cast of characters) when it comes to literature and film. I also enjoy books on personal growth and meditation.

My musical tastes are eclectic, and really I just want to be able to sing along with someone in the car. :)

That said, I would rather talk about all of these first date topics... on a first date. :D
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Art/Drawing/Painting
Capoeira
My friends
Music
New experiences
A good night's sleep.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
- Stories, characters and other ideas for drawings, sketches and writing projects.
- How to balance my time more efficiently. There are so many things I want to learn and get better at, and there just never seem to be enough hours in the day.
- How/Where I can make social connections with people who share my values.
- Social, political, economic, natural and deceptively mundane problems in our world, and whether I can actually make a difference or contribute towards making our planet a better place to exist. (Thanks TED talks, now I'm aware of things I didn't know I should be concerned about. lol)
- Where to place my trust and commitment.
- Existential marveling at the vastness of our planet, the universe, and time, and that somehow we are all supposed to find meaning within ourselves.
- How I can make myself a better person and work through my weaknesses to express strength and positivity.

Honestly I think a lot; my brain refuses to be quiet. At times it can be difficult if I'm in a particularly down mood, but I think eventually I'll learn how to use this to my advantage so I can help myself and others.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Training! Where I go from there depends on the day.
Or painting, writing, singing - probably with friends.

Saturdays are my preferred evening for "going out." I'm not a big drinker, and honestly one or two is enough for me, but I still like going to clubs and bars that have a nice dancing area. I definitely don't like getting drinks and then sitting around not doing anything all night.*

* I make an exception for wine + movie + cuddling, but that's not really 'nothing' is it?
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I will be sincerely honest with YOU, but not the whole internet.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You'd like to get to know each other, and then go on a few dates and see if something sparks. If you never plan on meeting in person, why are you on a dating site in the first place?

Please be confident in yourself. I want to meet passionate people with positive energy that I can share my interests with and who want to share theirs with me.

If you'd like to debate whether kissing on the first date is romantic, or no longer acceptable in the current dating paradigm, I would love to hear your opinion. Or just show you me what you think of the idea. ;D

FOR THE GUYS:: I am mostly looking for girls romantically, but if you'd like to start an awesome platonic relationship and go dancing or have other adventures together I am totally open to that. Who knows, you might just steal my affections, but you'll have to bring your A game.

And definitely say hi if any of the following songs make you want to get up and dance. :)
