I'm the only person in the world with my first and last name. I'm a singer-songwriter. I grew up in a little town in New Jersey with a French name. At 17 I left said town to move to New York City to attend NYU. I once lived in Paris. It is my life's dream to walk hand in hand with a lover along the Seine. I've already made it to the Hudson and the Thames. UPDATE: I have now walked along the Seine with a lover!

I speak French well enough to get what I need, but not well enough that I'm not terrified every time I have to string a sentence together. I have an overwhelming urge to move out of the US, most likely England or France. If I can't get out of the US, I'd love to move to Austin, TX; Portland, OR; Birmingham, AL or another such city.

I'm a bit geeky, I wear glasses. I find a man who shares my love of Star Wars to be extremely sexy. I have freckles. I have an special needs kitty named Milo, who was named after the cat from Milo and Otis. He has a stumpy foot - like a pirate. I tell really corny jokes. I'm talking like groan worthy, I think its genetic. I've been told I'm an old soul.

I make music a lot. I'm constantly thinking about what my next song will be about and I find a lot of joy in the process of performing and writing music. I also think about how we process music cognitively and what the experience of listening to music does in our brains, biologically.

I am a chubby bunny.

I like engaging discussions about philosophy, art, literature. I wish we had more panels sort of like the Greeks did where we would just meditate on a particular subject. The internet and internet culture is a great fascination of mine. I particularly love manatees. General consensus is that I'm pretty awesome.

I'm an administrative professional with a flair for music. I work in non-profit and spend most of my days dealing with fancy French people.

I am currently engaged to junkyboy but we have been/ are willing to/ would like to see other folks either together (or maybe even separately, but we'll get back to that later).

I love books on cognitive science, psychology, evolution and the science of music such as Richard Dawkins, Oliver Sacks, Dan Levithin, Dan Pink et al.

I am starting to get into comic books or graphic novels (as the kids say) by being educated on the works of Alan Moore and Terry Moore (no relation). And I LOVE Usagi Yojimbo by Stan Sakai.

Movies: Star Wars (specifically Empire), Donnie Darko, Rocky series, American Psycho (the book too), The Silence of the Lambs, most Kubrick films, Clockwork Orange being my favorite, I also really love Eyes Wide Shut, most Gus van Sant films, Pulp Fiction. I generally love Quentin Tarantino, (the fiance loves him so much he's almost like a family member) Let me know if you want to discuss why Django Unchained was not his best film.

As a chubby kid from Jersey, I have a real admiration for the work of Kevin Smith, but I have not seen all his movies. I do however shout "There's Kevin Smith's hometown!" everytime I pass the "Red Bank" stop on the NJ Transit train.

I have to admit I have a soft spot for romantic comedies starring Hugh Grant: Bridget Jones' Diary being my favo(u)rite, followed closely by Love Actually, and then Music and Lyrics.

I really love classic southern cooking, especially BBQ. I have this dream that someday I'll get to tour the continental US in a van tasting different kinds of BBQ and writing about it.

Recently, my boyfriend got me totally into The Protomen - check them out if you haven't heard of them. A mega man rock opera? Hell yes. One of the best live bands I've ever seen.

I can honestly say I don't have a "wants" list anymore. Ever see that episode of My Little Pony where Rainbow Dash looks for her "perfect" pet only to wind up with the Turtle that she thought was the LAMEST PET EVER?? Yeah...that was totally a metaphor for dating. Turn off your arbitrary standards and start looking for the kind of people that will be there for you if your wing is stuck under a rock.

Maybe you've never seen My Little Pony, but chances are if you're someone who would get along with me, you know EXACTLY what I'm talking about.

Needless to say, I found my Turtle.

I really think life is to short to worry about things like whether that girl on okcupid is going to message me back. Throw caution to the wind, don't waste your time worrying about dating.
