My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I like to think my shyness is calculated. I'm a frequent mover, former Peace Corps volunteer, divorced (amicable and two years ago), no kids having (but wants them one day) nice guy who grew up in San Diego (mostly). I don't date more than one person at a time and I'm quick to delete an online profile if I think it's going well. I went to Maryland for Business School and I was in a fraternity forever ago but I'm really not a "Bro" as the term has been described to me. Mostly, I just love great stories and I'm looking forward to the next chapter. Yeah that was a little corny.

I'm a consultant. And, I'm trying this new thing called "staying put." Let's see if I can grow some roots somewhere.

Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Getting up earlier than you and making coffee. That and I have a pretty sweet jump shot.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm kind of tall and I think I might have a scowling default expression. "No really, I'm fine -- why do people keep asking me that?"

Lit: Hesse, Steinbeck, Kerouac, Hugo, Palahniuk

Non-Fiction: Lots of commentary on political economy, like Reich, Taibbi, Ha-Joon Chang, etc. If you know who John Rawls is, I already like you.

Lately I've been listening to Lumineers but my holy triumvirate of music love is Rage/Tool/Sinatra.

Recently: Racking my brain to think of something creative or cool to do with some OKC date so I can "stand out" from the crowd of other men they're seeing.

Now: Hanging out with friends.

There, that's much easier.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

And, that I sometimes refuse to choose between happy hour and my evening run. "Wow, the Mall at night is so beautiful. . . "

No one ever described you as volatile or constantly confrontational.

You understand that the greatest barrier to making a good connection is the fear of being vulnerable. I like small talk as much as the next guy, but if we're just continually re-hashing the weather, I'm going to want to do something else. By putting yourself out there, taking a chance, and engaging in intimate discussion, we could skip like 3 or 4 dates and really find out if we like each other. I find alcohol helps.
