My self-summary
I am a 39-year old divorced male, who has been married/divorced once with no children. I prefer being outdoors than indoors and love a good walk or other forms of exercise. My personality can be best be described as fun loving, laid back, easy going, very open minded, and free spirited. I'll try most anything once within reason (and will do it much more often if I like it) :o). I am a staunch environmentalist, skinny dipper at heart, AANR member, and someone who believes in "live and let live to the max" philosophy. My sense of humor is typical of the dry and sarcastic British variety, with plenty of puns, play on words, and just overall fun (I'm partially Scottish in ancestry and of the McComb clan). I would be very comfortable wearing a tie-dye t-shirt and jeans if I wasn't relaxing in the nude, just as much as I would be dressed up nicely going to a very nice restaurant in a suit and dress shoes. I'm community minded, an innovative thinker, and definitely liberal (although I totally believe in hot, steamy monogamy and whatever two people mutually consent to do - go for it, if it doesn't harm or hurt anyone). I am a philosophical, intellectual type of individual who enjoys conversations that are "between the lines" (I don't enjoy talking about the weather all the time - it bores me). That's why I have viewed lifelong learning as being important, regardless if taking classes at a college or university or through the school of life and hard knocks.

What am I seeking in the ideal mate for myself? I seek someone who has a fiery and passionate nature - the passion to see herself and others succeed and the desire to go that extra mile in all of life. She loves life, wants to challenge others, and be challenged by them. She would love having her partner do all the cooking or cooking together with him. She feels that chivalry exists today and would not be offended if her partner helped her with her coat or opened the car door for her. Her mantra is "I absolutely refuse to ever grow old." What is attractive to me is her tremendous personality, great sense of humor, flexibility, and lively intelligent/intellectual conversations. I seek someone who would have some different interests than me, so we can learn from one another and grow. As Aristotle once said about excellence, I say the same about love. Love, then is not act but a habit. She knows what she wants in life and is not afraid to pursue it. I am seeking to start out as friends and open to something incredibly beautiful. If food brings people together, nothing better exists than two people cooking it together. Seeking my future equal, partner, best friend in life, and a relationship dripping rich with romance. Got food? Let's cook.

I am creative, witty, and passionate of life
What I’m doing with my life
I work within the American higher education system, currently as a consultant and administrator to a Midwestern university. I love what I do but seek to work elsewhere in the field. About three years ago, my views on religion changed. I grew up having extremist Christian views. For the past three years, I've become spiritually, non-religious, have read a book on Buddhism, heard a scholar speak on Islam, and have created my views of spirituality. I do not subscribe to religion, as it has been used over the course of society to harm and hurt people (and still does today). I enjoy looking at my lighthouse books and dream away of what one day would be like when I have visited all the lighthouses around the world. I have plenty of fun with my digital camera :o). I also write about a dozen pen pals, some of which I still write since resuming pen palling. Lastly, I enjoy volunteering in the community when possible.
I’m really good at
Being a patron of the arts, making others feel better after a rough day (being a second set of ears), cooking/baking, reading other peoples research and giving my views, coming up with solutions out of nowhere, thinking outside the box, having others feel comfortable around me in a short period of time, explaining things so simply even a small child could understand it, personal finances, seeing life as a continuous adventure, communication, writing very long letters.
The first things people usually notice about me
My easy going, fun loving personality, blue-grey eyes, enjoyment of high level intelligent/intellectual conversations (You mean you can talk more than just the weather or the latest trade the Washington Redskins or Chicago Cubs made with so and so?), my laugh, and the way I sneeze (I was once told I sneezed like a dog).
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books Non-fiction over fiction, self-help, self-improvement books, biographies/autobiographies, and books related to higher education mainly. Will read other nonfiction and fiction if it interests me and captures my imagination.

Movies My all time favorite is Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (You have chosenwisely.) Also like older movies like Lost Horizons and many movies that were initially in black and white. Favorite modern actors Harrison Ford (favorite adventure movie actor), Sean Connery (the best James Bond and made IJLC really special with his role as Indys father), and Tom Hanks (the only actor besides Spencer Tracy to have won Oscars in back to back years for Best Actor).

Music The rhythm that sparks the soul. I love classical, soft rock, classic rock, new age, smooth jazz, instrumental, r&b, celtic, and 60s to 80s oldies. Like most other kinds of music. Wont listen to heavy metal, acid rock, or hip hop (if it involves harm or hurt). I like British acts namely Tears For Fears, Duran Duran, Beatles/Rolling Stones, Phil Collins/Genesis, Sting, Moody Blues, and Elton John. Love Air Supply.

Foods Friends have told me that its rare to find an admitted male chocoholic. Yes, I am admitted chocoholic, but I refuse to go through Chocoholic Anonymous to remove my craving for chocolate. After all, its my favorite food. Congress should pass laws that allow chocolate to be one of the four food groups :o). Along with chocolate is my favorite cuisine, Italian, that goes nicely with a glass of an Italian wine]. Ive gotten farther and farther way from consuming red meat (grilled). I like Chinese and loved the one time I had Filipino. Seeking to eat ethnic foods of other countries (I dont quite envision taco salad as being more than possibly TexMex).
The six things I could never do without
 (1) love, happiness, companionship; (2) naturism/nudism; (3) family and friends; (4) dancing out in the rain and other fun-to-do things, (5) dreaming, sweet dreams and sleep, and (6) inner reflection to help make me be the best I am (all are equally important in my eyes) didnt say anything like you couldnt group your things into six categories :o).
I spend a lot of time thinking about
members of my immediate family, friends, and pen pals, where I would like to go for the next vacation, women, my goals, how to make society a better place than it is now, how to better advocate for naturism, how colleges and universities can better prepare themselves for the next incoming flow of nontraditional students not far from now, and writing this profile :o).
On a typical Friday night I am
Ill go out to eat, go to a show or production, go to a city park, look up at the stars and pick out my lucky one for the night. If inside, Ill be completely nude doing housework, reading a book, listening to music, writing pen pals, talking with friends and family, and just relaxing. I am an AANR member. I might decide to go to my moms, brothers, skinny dipping, or anywhere else to escape. In my view, variety is the spice of life.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I once drilled an outdoor burglar alarm head on with a rock from over 50 feet away when I was much, much younger. None of the windows were broken in the process, and no one ever knew about it :o).
