I am wise, relaxed, and hilarious.
My Self-Summary
I am passionate about
learning. Even so many years after
college there are still a great many areas I'm interested in and I
read a lot of random books to satisfy my cravings. I'm very
empathic and have a good sense of what people want when they want
it. It's a very useful quality. I'm really outgoing and crazy
fun.
I'm intelligent (though you probably guessed as much after noticing
a distinct lack of LOLs and j/ks), geeky (the sexy way, not the
nerdy way, sorry), and driven to pursue my various ambitions
involving the subjugation of various alien civilizations. Perhaps I
should start with my own ego...
I'm also a firm believer that "Life is not a struggle. It's a
wiggle."
This is me stopping to do a little wiggle dance...
What I’m doing with my life
Enjoying the hell out of this wacky Vegas adventure, actively
pursuing my passions (something most people don't do often enough),
and channeling lots of energy into designing games for fun and
profit!
Currently I'm...
Writing: Taking a break after some playtesting
Watching: Paranormal Activity, best horror I've seen in years
Reading: Journey to the East
Learning: Japanese via Rosetta Stone
I’m really good at
Teaching, flirting, getting along with everyone, picking up on
subtle body language, game design, philosophizing, being
infectiously happy ALL the time, and alternately wielding language
like a soft feather or a large foam bat.
The first things people usually notice about me
I listen first and talk second. Beyond that I'm far cooler than the
majority of my geek friends and far geekier than the majority of my
cool friends.
By a girl: "He was slightly frightening, but in that way a sexy
vampire would be. He looked just dangerous enough to think about
having second thoughts, but I ended up sleeping with him that very
night. And the next morning."
*I have no idea why she felt the need to add that, but I left it
cause I'm a sucker for honesty and openness like that. I also don't
like to brag about girls, but I'm far too shameless to stop a girl
from doing it for me.*
Editors
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Books: I read a LOT.
A little trash fiction here and there, but I mostly read
philosophy stuff from
LaVey to Lao Tzu.
Movies: My passion
for good movies is outrageous. I watch a ridiculous amount of
movies and have become that guy that tells other people which
movies to see.
Music: Rock, funk, EBM, goth, reggae, Metal, and oldies. Anything
with lots of beat and no twang.
Foods: I'm currently expanding my
cooking expertise. I really enjoy cajun
but some of it is really hard to make.
The six things I could never do without
Movies, wisdom, story games, passion, interesting people, and my
laptop.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Philosophy,
irony,
self-improvement,
enlightenment,
game design,
and
movies.
And wiggling.
And the Hokey Pokey. After all, that's what it's all about.
On a typical Friday night I am
Embarking on a spontaneous adventure. Wondering about the next
opportunity I'll have to use the word 'embarking'.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I'm actually a double agent working for and against both the US and
the USSR. The Cold War is actually still very, very hot. Shhh...
I've said too much.
Well, the most public thing is my complete lack of secrecy, but
something that wouldn't be obvious from a first meeting is my
unnatural appreciation for dark hair. Of course if you have dark
hair, I tend to show my appreciation right away...
Seriously though, I have an unusual number of pet peeves involving
clothes. Few things annoy me like seeing girls in strapless tops,
empire waists, denim skirts, capri pants, ugg boots, or any
combination thereof.
There was a girl that would purposely wearing jean skirts in an
attempt to taunt me.
Oh, yeah! I also love TERRIBLE movies. There's a special soft spot
in my heart for blaxploitation flicks, grindhouse films, cheesy
sci-fi, campy horror and all the rest. Except for comedies for some
reason. They've got to be whip smart or they just seem juvenile.
Weird, right?
