My Notes edit

My self-summary

I just moved from Alaska to Oregon. I have a few friends in the area...unfortunately, "the area" includes an hour and 15 minute drive to see any of them. I am single but I'm not looking for romance; at least, not yet. At the moment, I'm looking for friends.

I have a golden retriever named Summer. I don't know what I'd do without her. I'm very close to my mom and brother (my dad died when I was 13) and I love my friends.

I like reading, watching movies and TV, going for walks, drawing, and surfing the internet. I don't have a job here just yet, but I'm looking and hope to find one soon. My last job was at a radio station and it was great.

Also, I just realized that all the photos I have of myself show me with "bare" eyes. I wear glasses, I just don't like the way they look on me so I take them off for pictures.

There's a lot more I probably should say, but I don't want this to get too rambly, so here I'll stop.

What I'm doing with my life

I just moved to Oregon from my home town in Alaska. I've lived in Oregon before; namely in Ashland, for college. I graduated in 2004, then moved to Wisconsin for a year, then back to Alaska for 3 years, and now, I'm back in Oregon. I worked for the past 2 years at a radio station, and hope I'll be able to find a job here I like as much.

I moved from Alaska for the simple reason that I felt like I was in a rut. Living in a small town that's 300 miles away from the nearest "big city" is hard. All my friends in town were married, and, though I had plenty of people to hang out with, I felt lonely. Strange.

Anyway, I'm not doing anything particularly exciting or earth-shattering with my life. I just don't know how. Maybe I'll be able to figure it out with this little change of pace.

I'm really good at

Ha. Um, voice work, editing audio. Playing with my dog.

I don't really like this section.

The first thing(s) people usually notice about me

I have no idea. You'd have to ask them.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books: I really like fantasy, humor, and romance (DON'T JUDGE ME.) I know I'm probably supposed to put specific titles here, but I have a lot of favorites.

Movies: Same as above. I have about 50 DVDs, I think. I like action flicks and comedy, mostly. Everything from Monty Python and the Holy Grail to The Mummy to Speed to Little Miss Sunshine.

TV Shows: Supernatural is my favorite show. I also like NCIS, Ugly Betty, Psych, America's Next Top Model (DON'T JUDGE ME!) and I have Firefly on DVD.

Music: I like music, but again, I have a hard time talking about it or articulating the reasons I like it. As long as it's not rap or death metal, we usually get along fine.

Food: Yes, please, and lots of it.

The six things I could never do without

Ehhhh. Only six? Material things? I don't like this section. Moving on.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Finding a job. My friends back home.

On a typical Friday night I am

At home, on my computer. It sounds pathetic, but there you go.

The most private thing I'm willing to admit here

I'm afraid I'm going to fail at this "new life" and have to go right back home to Alaska.

You should message me if

You need a friend. I'm not talking about "special friends" or "friends with benefits," now...I'm not looking for that at the moment. Men and women are welcome to message me.

Also, fair warning: if u type liek dis an dont use punctuation or capital letters, I am unlikely to respond to an attempt to contact me. It hurts my eyes to read that sort of thing.
