I am not feelin clever, at the moment, and done!.
My Self-Summary
I like hanging out. You like hanging out. Ummmm, let's hang out or
something.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm always on the move, spending much of my time at work and
school. I just started on my master's in business and I'm having a
lot of fun flexing the brain muscle that my work has allowed to
hybernate for so long. I feel smarter already!
I live downtown and spend more time than I care to admit staring at
the Hennepin Avenue Bridge from my living room window, which is my
favorite. I hop on my bike to get most places, but now that the
weather has a chill I'm starting to sense an end to my biking
season.
I’m really good at
Cooking
Suggesting movies
Expressing my opinion
Biking
Talking like a pirate
Making friends
Taking an open-minded approach
Recommending beer
Dancing
Working hard...and relaxing
Being a friend
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm an extrovert. I have a laugh and smile that are contagious.
Also, people notice my hair and ask to touch it all of the
time...or they ask if it's a wig. Seriously. I don't know what the
deal is with that but I think it's meant to be complimentary.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
I'm reading a book called Ghost Map for my Decision Making Science
class- it's really good. It's about a Cholera epidemic in London
1854-ish. I like reading gruesome tales like this. I'm also reading
Shantaram for fun, and it's making me want to go to India as soon
as possible.
So many movies, so little time. I like to follow certain directors,
Coen Brothers, David Lynch, Quentino Tarantino, to name a few. Some
of my favorite movies are: The Big Lebowski, Blue Velvet, Pulp
Fiction, Twin Peaks, Death Proof, True Romance, This is Spinal Tap,
Best in Show...I also adore It's Always Sunny in
Philadelphia.
I'm all over the board with music- my favorite artist is Blues
Master Taj Mahal. I like indy rock, hip hop, drum and bass, soul,
classic rock, you name it (as long as you don't name modern
country). There's a time and place for everything.
My favorite single ingredient food is avocado. Love them. I like a
variety of ethnic cuisine; Indian, Thai, Greek, and (good) Mexican.
I like to cook, but I also like going out for dinner once a week or
so. I enjoy something on the gourmet side on occassion (there are
like six restaurants that I tend to rotate for my 'special' dinners
out).
The six things I could never do without
My Family
My Friends
A bike
My violin
Goat cheese
Flip flops
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What I want to do with my life. My mind is 10% in the past, 40% in
the present, and 50% in the future. I like thinking about running
my own business, having a fabulous house and all of the junk I
want, etc. and feel this motivates me to get through the crunch of
full time work and school at present. But, I'm working more on
enjoying the moment- and the older I get the more I can appreciate
the present time.
On a typical Friday night I am
I don't really have a typical Friday routine. I would say I
normally go out on the weekends, but I also really enoying staying
in for a movie or a dinner party with friends. When I'm out it's
probably at a bar in NE. On occassion I've been known to go to a
club, but for the most part that's not my scene these days. I'd
rather catch up with friends and chat.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I'm an open book, what do you want to know?
Hmmm, when I was a little girl I really wanted side burns. True
story. Now, I'm really glad I don't them.
You should message me if
If you're down to earth, have a sense of humor, and like to
socialize. If you are a gentleman. If you are goofy. If you have an
edge that sets you apart from the herd. If you are smart. If you
are well-adjusted. If you are confident. If you are NOT a
douchebag. This sounds like a lot of demands all in a row...but
these are some phrases I'd use to describe myself so, I guess I'm
looking for someone like me.
Thanks for reading,
