My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I think I'm pretty awesome. In a dorkly sort of way. *thumbs up* I'm a librarian too! Yeah!

I studied film as an undergrad and try to watch a lot of movies. I play video games with a special fondness towards 2D. I don't really watch too much TV but I consume considerable amounts of anime and animation in general!

My musical taste is difficult to pin down. I love electronic weirdness, ridiculous disco, polka-style folk musics, rock, classic hip-hop, psychobilly, certain orchestral works. KIND OF EVERYTHING. I collect records and listen to the radio a lot!
I love laserdiscs, old computers, comic books, and COOL STUFF in general.

I'm into esoteric spirituality, specifically Thelema. It's interesting stuff!

I'm also the kind of guy who dreams of someday visiting the world's largest ball of twine. YEAH. As you can already probably tell, I'm an unrepentant weirdo.
I keep Groucho Marx glasses in my glove compartment.

Also, even though I can be shy and awkward, and at other times ridiculous and obnoxious, I'm a big fan of long, serious conversations. Those are the best!

...And I know how to juggle? (Literally and metaphorically: I am all over the place with many many interests.)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Being a librarian like it's my job because it is my job!

I've also started getting severely into OLD FASHIONED ways of doing things. Growing my own food, communicating via radio, baking bread, making yogurt... I'm aiming for LOW-COST SELF SUFFICIENCY! We'll see how long it takes me to actually be able to live off the land.
And studying ECOLOGY because I see that as a science with a lot of value.

In this year I'm planning on learning GLASSBLOWING because that seems like a pretty awesome thing to know how to do!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Knowing useless trivia. Having conversations that bounce between serious topics and goofy nerd-stuff?
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My beard! It can get kind of intense.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

There have been several authors who have shaped my brain into the gnarled mass it is today. Most notably is probably Robert Anton Wilson, who inspired me to discover most of the other authors I love greatly. William S. Burroughs taught me to think in ways I never did before. HP Lovecraft inspired me to revel in the incomprehensible reality beyond human understanding. Aleister Crowley led me down a mystical path in which ritual can push the mind beyond its previously assumed limits.

I'm also a fan of comic books! I tend to go for indie or less mainstream titles. I'm generally not a big fan of superheroes, but once in a while I'm in the mood for a Golden Age yarn or a certain writer's take on a character.

When it comes to movies, I can be a total snob. I'd rather watch a foreign arthouse film than a big-budget blockbuster any day of the week. But on the opposite side of that coin, I have a place in my heart for schlocky horror, old sci-fi, or general trashy films. If I had to pick a #1 movie of all time, my default answer is 2001: A Space Odyssey. But depending on my mood, I might say something like Beyond the Valley of the Dolls?
I like "classic" movies and musicals too.

The TV I watch "while it's airing" is pretty much limited to cartoons like Adventure Time, Regular Show, Steven Universe, and Gravity Falls. But I do watch things on DVDs! I really liked Breaking Bad and The Wire, but I try not to be "that obnoxious guy" about it? There are classics from the 90s which I still love though, like Twin Peaks, The X-Files, Hercules, Xena; going back earlier: there's Star Trek, The Twilight Zone, Thriller... FUN STUFF! (I'm not really too into TV, but once in a while something piques my interest.)
I'm a hardcore anime nerd. I'll pretty much watch anything animated with the exception of high-school dramas!

Musically, I'm all over the map. I love experimental electronic noise, I love 78s from the 1920s, I love anything with cleaver wordplay, surf rock, rockabilly, techno, J-pop, 80s hip-hop... I LIKE A LOT OF MUSIC!

On the subject of food I'm always up for adventure! I like to try new things with no limits! I'm particularly fond of Japanese food I guess?
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
I don't like this question. I aim to be the kind of person who is able to give things up.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The esoteric symbolism, sustainability, and alternative housing.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Reading or playing video games. Because I'm just that cool?
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I still live with my parents. D:

You're weird and awesome, own goth-boots, like geeking out over silly things, going on adventures, diving deep into non-mainstream spirituality, totally think dinosaurs are cool things, or SOME COMBINATION OF THOSE TRAITS!

ELSEIF: you just think it might a good idea? Why not.
