My self-summary
Optimist donut with cynic frosting. Also I say dumb stuff like that all the time.

I live in my head a lot, it used to be a problem but then I figured out if I work at it those things tend to happen.

I think overpasses are pretty cool. Also trees.

I do know the difference between Your and You're, They're, There, and Their, but sometimes I get so excited I can't be bother to make apostrophes. Which is more commendable, spelling or enthusiasm?
What I’m doing with my life
Like every other male in Seattle I work for a tech company doing UI/UX design. Unlike the rest however, I do not wear a North Face jacket and Patagonia messenger bag.
Otherwise, floating around and enjoying myself.
I’m really good at
Drawing
making food (though I don't often have the chance).
Reading, but I don't often get to do that as well.
Various design programs.
TV-related analogies.
The first things people usually notice about me
I've been told I am "streamlined". I don't know if my pictures look like me.

So watch this video of me being a nerd. It's probably the most accurate portrayal:

Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
-Books - I am reading a book about poster design, and an old one about perspective. It will probably digust some "intellectuals" but I am not very into books ... I am too visually oriented and it takes a lot of effort for me to get into lines and lines of black squiggles. I find that I can learn more and experience more stories through conversation.

-Movies - Star Wars, Point Break, Terminator, West Side Story, Blade Runner ... but I'll watch any movie really. love watching movies. I like that my DVD shelf is small and not particularly "learned" ... it throws people off. Every time I watch a movie I carefully observe the camera work. I bet if I mentioned Herzog, or Godard I'd get more cred.

-TV - The Daily Show (I've been watching since Kilborn was the host), The Simpsons (seasons 3-9), Rachel Maddow and other news shows, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Arrested Development, Freakazoid, 3 South. Community.

I actually have no TV so this is all downloaded.

-Music. I will listen to any music as long as there is good melody. Suggest new music to me. My iTunes collection is somewhat large. Sounds like a cop-out answer, but my collection ranges from Classical, indietronica, Hip Hop, Classic Rock, Muppets, Punk, Country, 90s alternative, new wave, glam rock, and Weird Al. Everything.

-Food - any? Except Radish'y stuff and duck.
The six things I could never do without
-Computer
-Food
-Apartment
-Glasses
-Soda
-Something that either emits or reflects light of significant quantity.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Stories. Donkey Lips from Salute Your Shorts. How lame it is when people have a gajillion pictures from Cha Cha's photobooth. How lame it is when people on claim to be either "nerdy" or "laid back".

Image compression.
On a typical Friday night I am
I watch TV because I think it's a higher art form.

Tomorrow I'm going to a show.

It's never the same.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I am one of the few people in Seattle without a photographer friend and thus my pictures are not as good as I would like them to be.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 18–32
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, activity partners
You should message me if
You understand that "new friends" is not my secret code for "banging partners". I really do want new friends. I'm certainly not eager to force anyone into anything close to an emotional commitment. I'd rather keep it easy and keep an open mind.

You can walk 2 miles without being winded. Want to be bicycle friends sans spandex (yes to clothes obviously)?

I promise to write anyone back who writes me, but simply as a
friendly gesture and not necessarily as an expression of interest.

You should also think twice if you live farther than Tacoma/Everett
from Seattle. Unless you're super cool.

I like talking to people when I can, so go ahead.
