I am crafty, clever, and diminuitive.

My Self-Summary

I am a very short semi-practicing Jew and semi-practicing socialist about to turn 30. I just moved to NYC from Portland, OR on September 10th. My turn-ons include verbosity, personal calm, interesting eyes, inflappability, good cheer and puns. Turn-offs include overdisclosure, disinterest in reading (many have fallen by the wayside for that one), tendencies toward nastiness, tantrums, willful ignorance, and a lack of relationship experience.

What I’m doing with my life

Working with kids with behavioral issues. I have the patience of a saint.

Focusing on my own evolution and enlightenment (not in a technically Buddhist sense).

Exploring this new city.

Trying to knit my entire wardrobe.

I’m really good at

Knitting and other textile crafts, understanding babies and children, distance walking, trivia, sex.

The first things people usually notice about me

My glasses, my vocabulary, my tits.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Lemony Snicket/ Daniel Handler, Vladimir Nabokov (the reason I started studying Russian) Haruki Murakami, C S Lewis, Richard Kennedy, John Norman, Dostoevsky, Pushkin, Collette,

The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai, Six String Samurai, Serenity, all the Christopher Guest,

Folk, doo-wop, rockabilly, Russian rock

Chinese food, thai, italian (not in any particular order)

The six things I could never do without

My hands
My glasses
bisque soups
a very good light
ginger tea
a small pair of scissors

I spend a lot of time thinking about

knitting, socialism, re-purposing abandoned objects

On a typical Friday night I am

making something; drinking while reading pulp novels from the 50s. Going to temple much less than I should.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I hate it when strangers disclose private things.

You should message me if

You are under 5'6, are very familiar with Twin Peaks or anything Joss Whedon had a hand in, are also very crafty, have or just honestly enjoy children, are comfortable with large vocabularies and/or find me incredibly attractive.
