My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
This is my OkCupid profile. I hope you have as much fun reading it as I had writing it.

Here are things I like: video games, horror movies, British television, good books, hanging out with kids, museums of any kind, old movies, volunteering, having too many pets, sarcasm, penguins, cartoons, big cities, puppets and animatronics, video editing, mostly pointless yet overly passionate conversations, and cuddling with boys.

Here are things I don't like: People who are mean for no reason, stabbing myself in the eye with an eyeliner pencil, the movie Moulin Rouge!, the word "guesstimate," spiders, that part in every action game where your character gets captured and you lose all your stuff for forty minutes and you worry that the game will glitch and you'll never get it all back, earbud style headphones, and sunsets after it rains and the sky's that really weird pinkish-purplish color, that creeps me right the hell out.

I think that about covers everything.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I do a lot of volunteering with youth, so a lot of my time is spent planning and executing programming and worrying about funding and grants, but it's all worth it when I actually get to hang out with the kids. Except when they're awful. And kids are always kind of awful.

Also I have some meaningless job or another. Eventually I'll get sick of mindless jobs and go back to school for cosmetology, like I've always sworn I'd do but haven't followed through with because most beauty school students are basically velociraptors with hair extensions. Not nerdy awkward girls who think makeup is neat, like me.

In my spare time I attempt to do creative things, mostly with writing or video making. You may have caught that interview I did when I did the late night talk show circuit in my imagination.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Writing academic papers deconstructing novels. But I'm not in college anymore so I should pick a skill that's still relevant to my, hmm, I guess mouth trumpet.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
is that I'm tall. Which I am for a girl. In fact, I am often found rampaging through downtown Tokyo.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: I tend to read the so-called "classics," some horror (gothic ghost stories <3), and then random contemporary stuff if it tickles my fancy.

TV: I watch a lot of things, but I'll especially watch anything animated, from The Simpsons to Adventure Time. I love shows from Britain (like everyone else who's cool), and I'm still a diehard Buffy fan. I also like anime, but like I don't shout "kawaii" or anything. Anymore. Much.

Movies: I lean toward horror mostly, but I also have a particular love for older movies, like pre-80s. And I like so-bad-they're-good movies. But I'm up for literally anything, and I have my guilty pleasure favorite action movie, romcom, kids movie, etc. Movies are just fun all around to me.

Video games: My favorites are horror games, old school style adventure games, and weird indie snobby "art games." But I won't turn down a Half-Life or a Metal Gear Solid, either! But I WILL turn down a Halo or a Call Of Duty, and I will totally cop that it's because I absolutely suck at playing them.

Food: Thai, Mexican, Chinese.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. Diet Pepsi. It's a bit of a problem.
2. My iPhone. Obvs.
3. Cardigans, because they make it look like you're wearing a coordinated, fashionable outfit that you actually put thought into putting together when literally all you did was put on one extra article of clothing.
4. Extension cords.
5. My carefully organized shelves of books, movies, and video games.
6. Sarcasm.

And obviously there's a lot of people who are incredibly important to me, my friends, my Dad, my gramma, plus my dog and cat, but that's boring to list those kinds of things.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
everything! To the point of Lovecraftian-esque madness.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Volunteering, playing a video game, hanging out with my roommates, sometimes going out.

More often than not getting sucked into the rabbit hole that is the internet.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You're cool, you think I sound cool, and you think we could possibly be cool together.

And by "cool" I mean "geeky and kind of socially awkward, but in an endearing way."

Also if you're not freaked out by me being transgender. If you're freaked out by me being transgender, then you probably shouldn't message me.

Also you shouldn't message me if you're freaked out by sexy vampire black magic space women.

Ok, ok, I'm not actually a sexy vampire black magic space woman.
I was just trying to impress you :(
